I had an overall positive experience at The Highlands. Catering Sales Manager Alisha Vaugh helped me plan a Celebration of Life for my deceased husband. She made the process so easy at a difficult time for me. The room was arranged well and decorated so nicely and the other staff were friendly and efficient so everything ran so smoothly. The Highlands at Germantown venue and staff couldn't have been better for our annual graduation get-together and raffle event for supporters of Warrior Canine Connection. The Catering Sales Manager worked closely with us to put together a menu within our budget and coordinated all the details of our set-up. She was extremely accommodating in meeting our varied requests prior to, and during set-up of, the event. The Food Services Manager was attentive to our needs during the function and the food was plentiful and delicious! We had guests coming from 18 different States and the Holiday Inn Express Hotel Manager, Sales Coordinator and Front Desk Staff were very helpful in accommodating the needs of our group. One of the best decisions I've made was to have my Wedding at The Highlands at Germantown. Alisha Vaughn who is the catering Sales Manager was super helpful throughout the entire process of helping me put everything together. This past Saturday (12/8/18) I hosted an event I was very pleased with the coordinator Sysseden Boaguehe, she was very responsive, and patient she did her best to make my event the best it could be. The food was great, enough to feed the people I needed to feed, the staff was very friendly, before the event and the day of. August 4th 2018 we had my Mom's Retirement Party.......The venue  was very nice the food was delicious the decor was very elegant ,We had the entire Oak room and Maple room,I loved the staff  all in all I would give it a 10 i would have given it a 20 they could not get the Projector to work for our picture slide but  that didn't even matter, The coordinator Syssenden was very kind and planned everything so well, she had surgery and could not finish the planning so Cathy took over in her place and did an amazing job the day of the event Melissa the room decorator was very detailed and made the room look great! !! overall just a great Place the venue and Staff!!!!!! This past Sunday 7/1/18 hosted a bridal shower event in the Oak Room. The event coordinator Sysseden Boaguehe was very patient and did everything she could to accommodate our request during the planning process (which took 3 months for my planning committee). Â She was very responsive and the day of the event she sent an email with our contact person and what time to expect staff to arrive. The staff was very helpful. Outside of minor glitches like staff not being able to find certain thing to assist in having the tables set up the overall experience was pleasant and affordable. We did use their catering and the food was delicious. We had the mini crab balls, grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters, the slider bar and the smashed potato bar. The cod sliders were delicious wish they came with tarter or a remoulade sauce but still good as served. The grilled chicken sliders were tasty as well I would suggest adding bbq sauce and sauce for the cod sliders to the fixings portion. The beef burger sliders were well seasoned just needed to be a little bigger. Outside of those small details it was a great experience. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS ! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Kristi (the Hall Manager) and the staff at Highlands at Germantown were!
She was so amazing in helping us plan our 11 yr old daughter's event at a short notice, and making sure that every detail was covered. I must admit that I was tensed but she answered every question, was incredibly accommodating with all of our special requests (included multiple Indian caterers'), she set up the hall beautifully, and was just all-in-all a great person to work with!
The hall itself is a brand new construction in a blessed neighborhood - lucky me ! It did not cost me a fortune to set up the beautiful interiors, colorful stage, round tables with a glowing center pieces, all contributing to lasting memories and wonderful pictures! Plus the custom built dance floor was huge, so if you have a big family (like me) that loves to dance, there will be plenty of room for everyone! We got lots of compliments on the banquet hall. Everything ran so smoothly, we couldn't have made a better choice! :) If I were to do another event, it would be here again !
