What do you love most about your job?
What we love most about our job is the opportunity to transform both dogs' and owners' lives. It's incredibly rewarding to help a dog overcome behavioral challenges that might have otherwise jeopardized their place in a loving home. Knowing that our training can keep dogs out of shelters and in the arms of families who love them is what drives us every day. We also love seeing the bond strengthen between owners and their dogs as they learn to communicate effectively and enjoy a balanced, productive life together. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing a once-unruly dog become a well-behaved, happy companion, and knowing that we’ve helped both the dog and the owner reach their full potential.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Our inspiration to start The Dog Wizard stemmed from a deep passion for improving the lives of dogs and their families. We were motivated by the alarming number of dogs who end up in shelters due to behavioral issues that could be resolved with proper training. We wanted to create a space where dogs could reach their full potential and remain with their loving families. Our goal was to offer a professional and compassionate approach to dog training, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and a balanced training philosophy. By providing personalized training solutions and lifetime support, we aim to empower dog owners and create happier, more harmonious relationships between them and their pets.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
At this time, we do not offer online or remote training services. As a mobile business, we bring our training directly to your location, allowing us to work in your dog’s familiar environment. We can also meet in dog-friendly public spaces, such as parks and stores, to provide training in varied settings. This hands-on approach helps us address behavioral issues more effectively and tailor our training techniques to each dog's specific needs. We believe that in-person, on-site training provides the best results for both dogs and their owners.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
To ensure the safety of our customers during Covid-19, we have implemented several precautionary measures. Our team follows all recommended health guidelines, including maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, and practicing good hand hygiene. We also disinfect our training equipment regularly to reduce the risk of virus transmission.
When conducting in-person training, we prioritize outdoor settings or well-ventilated areas to minimize the risk of exposure. For clients who prefer additional safety measures, we can discuss and accommodate specific requests to ensure everyone feels comfortable and secure.
Your health and safety are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing a safe and effective training experience for you and your dog.
Private/Custom Dog Training
We offer both on-leash and off-leash private training held at clients' houses, public locations like parks, dog-friendly stores, etc, and our facility when available.
Day School/Day Train
Dogs will spend the day with our advanced dog trainers for the day in groups of three to five dogs per trainer. Two to three hours of lessons (depending on the individual dog's attention span) will be dedicated to each dog and will be spread throughout the day to allow adequate time in between lessons for playtime, recuperation, and practicing a calm state of mind.
All dogs must be current on their shots, and meet all of our boarding requirements!
Board & Train/Jump Start Programs
Dogs will spend entire weeks (1-4) with our advanced trainers throughout the week (every day) and will be boarded at the trainers' houses or our affiliate boarding facilities overnight.
