Guests raved about the food at our wedding! It really was excellent, I made sure not tRo be one of those brides who doesn't eat :) the presentation was gorgeous, we had more than enough of everything and the service was seamless. Brian was great to work with, we collaborated to tweak the menu until it was just what I had in mind. I wish I could have more off that soup right now! He went above and beyond in helping to work out a kink in the set up communication with the venue, he was truly the mvp of the wedding! By the end, just felt like Brian was a friend. Brian and his staff were incredible. Brian met with us to discuss menu options and planned a menu based on our preferences instead of making us choose pre planned menus. Not only was the food amazing, it was displayed beautifully at our reception. Many of our guests told us that it was the best meal they have ever had a wedding. They were also very accommodating for our guests that had food allergies. One guest was soy and gluten free and commented that she's never had so many options in a buffet before.

Brian and Taproot did an incredible job with the food at our wedding. They were recommended by our photographers. It was the perfect style for our venue. We worked with Brian quite a bit to customize a "cinco de mayo" themed menu with chips, guacamole, salsas, mini tacos, fajita skewers, steak, chicken, green chili mac & cheese, charred corn salad, jalapeno cornbread, etc. He seasoned everything perfectly! Just enough spice, but not too much that our more boring eaters could not handle it. I unfortunately did not get to try most of the desserts but had several guests say they were incredible. The variety was so fun and the presentation in jars was really cute and fitting for the venue (key lime pie jars, strawberry rhubarb jars, carrot cake jars, German chocolate cake jars, brownies & cookies). We loved being able to customize the menu, Brian was open to any idea and met with us several times and emailed back and forth until we loved the menu. The presentation was just perfect! We had plenty of food for our guests who eat a lot (myself included!). The service was excellent and everyone was very professional. Brian is such a nice person and it is obvious he really cares about what he is doing and goes above and beyond. Taproot Catering exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding cocktail hour(s) and reception. Brian was creative and his amazing talent is evident in his work. The Taproot staff was professional, friendly, and efficient. The entire event was amazing and we STILL have guests contacting us to rave about the food and service. Special mention to Anthony who ran my kitchen like a boss, and our bartenders at the venue that were practically like family. I cannot recommend this company enough! Another caterer quoted us $15k - wayyyy outside our budget - so our wedding coordinator recommended we look into Taproot, based in Kent. We knew upon our first meeting with the owner, Brian, that it was the right choice. He was friendly, laid-back, & clearly a bit of a genius when it came to menu planning - for a much more reasonable price & what I assume to be much better food. Lucky us!

Brian created the menu of our dreams, complete with a pierogi bar & a sandwich bar featuring mini Polish boys & reubens. He was organized & efficient, & he even helped us find a donut shop to do our desserts. He just brought them with him & incorporated it into our bill! So simple, so convenient. The presentation of the food was beautiful - & somehow, it tasted even better than it looked.

Truly, our wedding meal was some of the best food we've ever had - which is saying a lot for food generally, but especially for wedding food, which is so frequently subpar. We're still getting rave reviews from friends about how great everything tasted. More...
