Some much needed shotgun therapy yesterday. I went on an upland bird hunt at Stump Hill Farms and these people are top notch. Their guide and dogs work very hard to make your hunt a success. JP and his dogs Trever and Spider-Man made it happen. You can look at these dogs and see how hard they worked and loved every minute. Our dog came back a brand new dog! Considering they treated our dog like their own, sent us plenty of updates through photos and videos, gave him his all his daily medications, allowed us to see him frequently, and were very open to teaching us as owners - my husband and I would 100% recommend Stump Hill Farms Kennel!!! We sent our 3yo English Lab, Cypress, to Stump Hill Farms for a month for “bootcamp” and couldn’t be more pleased with the results! John Paul and Daniel were extremely open and transparent during the evaluation process and answered all of my questions. They made sure I was 100% comfortable with leaving my beloved boy in their care! They allowed us to come visit Cypress whenever we wanted and sent pictures and updates often. Cypress came home a completely different dog in the best way! Before his time at Stump Hill Farms, Cypress was difficult to control, unpredictable, and even dangerous at times due to his size and dominance. After a month with these awesome folks, Cypress still has his silly personality and zest for life, but with new found self control and direction! They helped him channel his energy and drive and it has made a world of difference. Being an athletic dog, his strength and energy used to be intimidating to me, but now it is a JOY to watch him retrieve and be able to relax into the structure that he so desperately needed! Cypress now has excellent recall, takes direction, his jumping/ dominance issues are greatly improved, and his manners are excellent! The team at Stump Hill Farms also made sure to train my husband and I so that we can provide the structure and support that Cypress needs to continue to be the best version of himself! John Paul and his staff did an excellent job training our puppy Anna. She is a totally different puppy now, her excessive bitting is totally gone, she doesn’t jump on anyone anymore, she just sits and waits for you to pet her, she does good on her lease, she does good with place, and definitely understands the word NO better. We sent our P.W.D. and Labrador Retriever to their Basic Obedience program and could not be any more thrilled, or amazed by the results and absolute transformation of our dogs. Our Sadie has always been an overly excitable, energetic, and most lovable lab, but all of her excess energy made it difficult for us to train her. After being assured by the trainer that he could get her under control, we chose to let Stump Hill Farms take charge of teaching her to stay and not use her voice so much and anything else he might be able to fit in during her time there. We had our doubts, especially after her daily bouts with the tree of patience. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We are a board and train facility in person interaction is limited to drop off pick up and visits. These visits are often made outside in open areas.
Board and train
We offer basic obedience, advanced obedience, and upland/hunting/retriever training.
We have an open air covered kennel, a climate controlled kennel with indoor and outdoor access, as well as in home training.
We have a 4 week puppy head start program for puppies 8-12 weeks old. This program is designed to work on potty training and begin basic obedience sit here heel place as well as leash and house manners.
