These people are GREAT!   My very expensive Sony 47 inch TV was not connecting to the WiFi/internet.  I tried EVERYTHING but I could not get it to work, and was considering dragging it to the curb.  Fortunately I decided to give it one more try.  I checked Yelp, and after reading the reviews, called Speers TV and spoke to one of the owners.  We made an appointment for the same day, he showed up on time and had the problem fixed within 20 minutes.  He even gave me a tutorial on how to fix the issue myself if the TV acts up again!  The fee was reasonable.  I was thrilled.  This is the kind of business that's becoming increasingly rare these days; knowledgeable people solving problems quickly and not overcharging.  Bravo! Wow, I love this place! From the very first phone call, Alen was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the problem I was describing with my TV and surround sound system. I ended up buying a new TV, which was a GREAT price from them, which is why I initially called, but I also had problems with my surround sound system so I was hoping he could fix that too. I found out later that Alen is one the owners and that he runs Speers TV with his father. They are a great team. Alen set up my appointment quickly. He was on time for my appointment, installed the TV efficiently and identified and fixed the issues with my surround sound system even though they didn't install it.  And also he was very patient with my questions and concerns. I could tell he cared that I was happy with the job. He did phenomenal work! I really love this place. Definitely support this family owned business, I'm so glad I was referred to them by my friend. This is a father/son run business and they are both very nice people. I bombarded Alen with questions regarding my Magnavox TV being repaired. He told me they stopped making Magnavox TV's a few years back so parts would be hard to find. I'd be better off buying a new TV. I knew that would probably be the case so I respected his honesty. I didn't get the feeling he was trying to make a sale. I purchased a TV directly from them and Alen came to deliver and setup. I probably could've done the setup myself but I'm a woman and electronics sometimes get the better of me. I just hope he didn't tell his dad about my messy house! Highly recommend. More...

I was looking to gift my husband a large flat screen TV as a Christmas surprise and wanted to use a local store.  Thank goodness I chose Speers TV!  This father and son team are amazing.  Alan and his father helped me with all my questions and were so helpful!  Their work was impeccable and their prices are very fair. They even came out to look at the space before I bought anything so they could guide me in the right direction!  When we decided we wanted a BIGGER TV than the one we bought, they did everything in their power to help us uninstall the smaller TV, return it to the supplier and came back to install the new, bigger TV.   They were very gracious about it all.  I would not hesitate to recommend Speers TV to anyone that asks.  They are honest and reliable! Our 15 year old BOSE stopped working. We love it. We didn't want to but a new BOSE because it sounds great when it's working. We took it to SpeersTV. He fixed it for much less than what we would have paid for an inferior replacement. He replaced the motherboard and repaired a broken speaker. Bravo! A plus grade. We highly recommend Speers TV. What a great experience!! Once you deal with this family own and run small independent local business you will never go back to the big box electronics stores or the impersonal online stores! Their pricing was better than all of the others and the non pushy advice was most welcomed!! We purchased a Samsung 75 inch 4K TV from the owner Ash. It had to be special ordered but arrived promptly to their shop and quickly delivered and SETUP by Ash and his son Alen!! They were so careful with our new flooring, walls and furniture as they unboxed, assembled and hooked everything up. Then the TV was programmed by them and adjusted for our perfect viewing pleasure. Yhey answered every question we threw at them and ONLY then, cleaned and removed all the packaging materials and the old broken set. This is a business that I will support until I move out of the area which may never happen.  I have 4 TVs installed by them and all came out very satisfactory.  Here are a couple of examples that make them a 5 star business.1.  They are very knowledgeable about any televisons and any mounts.  The racks I ordered from Best Buy somehow did not fit correctly, but Alen at Speers TV came to the rescue.  The mounts they recommend cost less and can be mounted closer to wall than the Best Buy's recommendation.  And best of all, I saved money.2.  They are meticulous and very careful.  Recently, I bought a TV from them and need it mounted with a mirror frame.  They made sure it's spotless inside and out, and they didn't have to (because I didn't buy the mirror frame from them).  After they left, the work area that they used were cleaned up.In a couple of months, I will buy another TV from them and have them install it.  They are truly better than anyone that I have hired before. I was blown away by the speedy service. Our 60" Pioneer went out, they picked it up repaired it and delivered it back and reinstall it within 5 days. To replace the tv would have been $6500. Man alive, old school greatness -- highly recommend. I contacted Speers (due to many great reviews on Yelp - -thx!) as there was a sound being emitted from my TV, or so I thought. Allen and his father arrived and quickly figured out my TV wasn't the problem. They could have left then and I'd have been happy to pay their (modest) fee but, instead, they joined the hunt for what was really the issue even though it was well out of their domain. I won't go into the obscure/boring details of why this was so difficult to figure out, just trust me it was and trust me I was soooo appreciative that after a half hour of all 3 of us poking around Allen made the discovery of what my real issue was. Despite going above and beyond they insisted on just taking the usual fee, and on top of that when it turned out that in plugging things in and out one of my HDMI cables had broken, they gave me a new one. I feel like I totally underpaid them for their time, but at the same time the next time I need a TV I'll definitely be going to Speers, so hopefully in the end good service will beget good business, as it should be. My husband and I are senior citizens, and far from tech savvy. We moved to Pasadena from Michigan and needed new televisions. Our son had researched companies for us and said Speers appeared to be the best. He was so right! Ash and Alen are so knowledgeable about their products. They did not try to sell us things we did not need. They were punctual and went to work as soon as they arrived. We are delighted with everything they have done. The hard drive in my Macbook pro failed.  I took it these fine gentlemen, who replaced it and  recovered the data for an unbeatable price. This store and staff are top notch.  I'd rather pay slightly higher prices for the service and quality than go to a cheaper big box store.  At first I was turned off when I found out about the dress code, but now I understand they are a classy store.  If you are looking for a family run business with decent prices and superior electronics then head down to Speers and ask for Alan.  Oh and they have a friendly live alligator too! I haven't written many (maybe any?) Yelp reviews before but I had such a good experience here that I wanted to write about it! I cracked my cell phone screen a while back and put off fixing it until very recently. I called around to a few places in the area to find out how much the service would cost, and then remembered Speers. I've lived 3 blocks away from this store for basically my entire life, but have never stepped inside somehow! I gave them a call to find out if they fixed phones as well as TVs, and they were super cordial and helpful and gave me a quote. It was pretty reasonable, in fact a little cheaper than some of the other places I was checking out, and they're close enough for me to walk over, so I did. I dropped off my phone after waiting only a couple of minutes, and picked it up a few hours later! I really appreciated the quick and personable service, and even though there was a mix-up in the pricing of the screen parts, I still wound up paying the original quoted price.  Most places would have just mercilessly price gouged me just because they could, but the man I was helped out by seemed to genuinely care that I got the best service possible and understood the situation. As a full-time student only making money from a part time job (who has already run up her credit card with Christmas purchases, oops!), I just really appreciated this. TL;DR? We were in the market for a TV and started looking around the big box retailers like Best Buy or Amazon. Then we happened upon this local outfit from watching Nathan For You.
