Highly Recommend! I needed professional headshots ASAP, and Peter accommodated my short timeline by quickly getting me scheduled and had a quick turnaround time for getting the photos to me after the shoot. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
A great photograph starts with understanding what the image needs to accomplish. For Victor 22 Imaging, that may mean showing a property accurately, documenting construction progress, creating a polished professional headshot, or capturing the significance of a military ceremony. For By Abigail Lyons, it is often about creating an environment where people can relax, connect, and be themselves.
Strong composition, lighting, timing, and technical skill matter, but the best images also communicate something. Our goal is to create photographs that are both visually strong and meaningful to the people who need them.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We start by learning what you need the final images or video to accomplish. We typically ask about the type of project, location, timeline, intended use, important people or details to capture, preferred style, and any specific deliverables you need.
For commercial, real estate, drone, and construction projects, we may also discuss access, site requirements, shot priorities, recurring coverage, and licensing. For weddings, families, seniors, and lifestyle sessions, we focus more on the people involved, the look and feel you want, meaningful details, and how you would like the experience to feel.
What do you love most about your job?
We love that our work lets us document both progress and milestones. One day may involve photographing a construction project from the air, creating professional headshots, or documenting a property for market. Another may involve a military retirement, a wedding, or a family session on the beach.
Through Victor 22 Imaging and By Abigail Lyons, we get to create images that serve a practical purpose while also preserving moments people will value long after the session is over.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Southern Dunes Media grew from a shared passion for photography and the realization that our strengths naturally served two different types of clients.
Victor 22 Imaging developed around a precision-focused approach to real estate, drone, commercial, headshot, construction, and military photography. By Abigail Lyons grew from a love of photographing people, relationships, weddings, families, seniors, and everyday moments.
Bringing both together under Southern Dunes Media allows us to offer specialized photography while remaining a local, family-owned business.
Why should our clients choose you?
Southern Dunes Media gives clients access to two specialized photography brands under one trusted company.
Victor 22 Imaging brings a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to commercial photography, real estate, aerial imagery, construction progress, professional headshots, and military ceremonies. By Abigail Lyons brings a warm, natural approach to weddings, families, couples, seniors, and lifestyle photography.
We also believe communication matters. Clients should know what to expect, receive dependable service, and walk away with images that genuinely fit the purpose of their project rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Many parts of our process can be handled remotely, including consultations, scheduling, contracts, payments, planning, and delivery of finished photographs and video through online galleries.
The photography itself is generally completed on location or in person. For construction progress, commercial properties, real estate, and certain drone projects, clients may not need to be present as long as access and project requirements are coordinated in advance.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We no longer maintain special COVID-specific procedures for every session, but we continue to respect individual client needs and comfort levels. If a client requests additional spacing, outdoor photography, limited-contact service, or another reasonable accommodation, we are happy to discuss it during planning.
For many real estate, drone, and construction projects, photography can also be completed with little or no client presence required.
