DJ Kris should be your DJ for you next party or event. Kris worked with my wife and I to create a set list that included many foreign songs that are not popular in the U. S. He diligently sought out music that was in the genre (not rap) and time periods of the songs that we submitted in our set list. This in itself shows the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the man. I want to address some negatives that others have posted about DJ Kris. Those reasons almost made us not choose Kris. The simple fact is Kris is upfront and clear with his expectations for payment and performance. There is nothing hidden about what he demands. We also were clear with Kris and he responded in kind. As adults in a contract, everyone must be reasonable and considerate. Kris is that person.Kris had a great sound system and lighting. The party was filled with appropriate volume music that allowed for talking and conversation without shouting. When the dance time began the music volume responded and so did the light show. When I needed to do MC duties Kris was there to support and assist with the duty, thankfully because I have never MC'd before. Turning 70, I would have chosen to forget but having DjKris there playing all my favorite songs made it incredible. He set the tone for a dynamic party. Kris was professional and so very easy to work with. He was very thorough in making sure the song on my list were sung by the artist or cover artist I wante artist or covers I wanted. My family and friends all had a great time and my birthday turned to 70 & fabulous! My son is turning 50 in a couple of months and you guessed it. I had an 80s themed birthday party for my husband and hired DJ Kris. I'm so glad I did. He did a wonderful job. I provided a list of certain songs I wanted and left the rest up to him. Event day is 9/29, so will have a better idea how well the owner of this company complied with our music request etc. As for my contact with the owner to determine whether to hire or not, it was easy talking with him & he understood our expectations as well as accepting our limited funds which were set aside to pay the prior DJ fee who had to cancel due to personal health reason.

We had D.J. Kris at our Halloween Party. He had a major attitude. He was told to were a mask (mandatory in the Sac County), but got upset and walked out, leaving us to wonder if he was coming back. We are in a 55 and older community and our risks of contracting COVID are high. He requested his money in the beginning (normally D.J.'s we have are given check after the event and are ok with that). Originally Kris quoted us a price for the evening was $400, but then changed it to $500 after we had hired him.  We gave him a mixture of songs to play as we have ages from 55-90 year olds that come to the danoce/party, but he only played a few of them, ALTHOUGH, he was taking requests from the audience and did play those, which was great. There were a lot of people dancing (I think the younger part of the crowd mostly), and there were several people that commented that the event was the best Halloween party ever, though they didn't give credit to the DJ.  The songs we gave him we had to email to him a few times, as he couldn't locate them. At the party, I double checked with him that he had those songs, many of them he had, others he didn't. We had a large group that dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and we had asked him, that when that group went to display their costumes, for him to play the White Rabbit song from Alice in Wonderland. We had to ask him 3 times before he finally played it.  We won't use this guy again. He was the only one that we could get however, so we had to go with him. More...

I had DJ Kris for my 50th birthday party get together. He was very quick to respond to my texts and emails prior to the event, kept in good contact regarding song list and karaoke song list, and had everything ready to go when he arrived to set up. He had great communication as to what was expected as far as payment which was extremely reasonable and everything was settled prior to the event starting. The event was amazing. Everyone had so much fun. DJ Kris had all my song list ready for dinner, then dance songs, then karaoke songs. He was very professional and very kind. Kris truly cares about his brides (and all clients, I'm sure). I requested a song mash-up for my father daughter dance and he kept in touch with me and made sure I loved the finishing product. We had DJ Kris for our intimate wedding recently and he was accommodating to our large backyard space. He is a very sweet man that has a lot of good music to play for our guests that range in genre and tempo, which I appreciated. He also had a lot of nice equipment that sounded great during the night and was able to coordinate with one of my best friends to sing our first dance song. He had a great setup and good lights that added nice energy to our dance floor.<br><br>As for being a wedding DJ I don't think it was what I had expected, but the day was stressful enough and I didn't want to stress over another large detail. He was able to announce a lot of the main events (first dance, cake cutting, entrance, etc.) but that was just it- simple announcements as opposed to MC-ing like we had emailed about. <br><br>One thing I liked was that he was more than willing to play songs requested by our guests and everyone really enjoyed that. <br><br>I feel like a lot of the day music-wise it sounded to me like just clicking on random songs that sometimes didn't flow too well together but overall, DJ Kris was nice and is great at communicating with you before your event in terms of what he offers, etc. More...

Kris was the DJ for our wedding on November 2nd. We found Kris on Yelp and met about a year ago his prices were very fair. He explained immediately that 100 would be our deposit, and the rest would be paid in cash. Beyond this Kris was a true gentleman. He was extremely quick to respond to any of our questions. On the day of the wedding he set up hours before the reception. My father was supposed to pay him upon his arrival but as anyone who gets married will find out the day becomes very hectic. Kris trusted me and when we did arrive my dad paid him. He was not bothered at all. Our grand entrance was perfect he even pronounced my name correctly, it's French and most people never do. He had amazing uplifting all around the hall, and even had special lights for our couples table. He had brand new speakers that sounded amazing. Finally ours was a English/Spanish wedding, Kris flawlessly mixed the music together. So both families were very happy and felt equally represented. May be okay for an event such as a birthday party, however not a good wedding DJ. Wouldn't allow us to pay him until he set up his equipment and didn't specify payment type. Husband handed him a check for the payment in front of our venue coordinator and our officiant and Kris would not take the check and instead insisted on us sending someone away from the wedding to go get cash. Instead of enjoying the day, we were bothered on and off about  getting cash. As soon as we did our grand entrance into the reception he had us over at his booth about a cash payment. He finally decided on PayPal and had me send everyone around looking for my phone just so that I could send him the payment through PayPal. The entire time he was extremely rude. After sending the payment he then told us we never payed the deposit. When I showed him text messages where he stated he received the deposit he then said " well I still have to find the payment on my account". The payment for the deposit was made November of 2018. He then insisted on having us send him another $100 for the deposit that we had already paid. This took up the beginning of the ceremony when my groom had walked down the aisle and the first 45 minutes of the reception. On top of that, he did not announce anything during the reception, no first dance no toast etc. I had to tell him when to announce these things. He played all of 5 songs during the reception. Many guests loved our reception however they mentioned how poor the DJ service was. I would not recommend this DJ for a wedding. A day that was supposed to be amazing and stress free was extremely stressful because of the DJ. Absolutely not worth the price. More...

This is the second year DJ Kris has helped with our event. I am the coordinator for my sons elementary schools annual carnival. DJ Kris was the only DJ who understood that every dollar we spent and made directly affected our kids and generously worked with our schools budget.<br>DJ Kris arrived and was set up two hours early. Not only did he play upbeat music which had the kids dancing all night but he helped promote and call the numbers for our cake walk game.<br>Our event would not have been as successful or memorable without the help and generosity of DJ Kris! Stop looking... you won't find a better DJ than you are looking at right here.  DJ Kris is absolutely stellar.  He shows up early, has great equipment and lighting, is very flexible and is a great addition to your event.  I used him for my birthday party.  We had around 60 people, ranging in age from 75 down to around 8, with a lot of twenty and thirty somethings.  The range and style of the music was PERFECT.  He can read a crowd and get knows how to get them out dancing.  He was an integral part of our party.  Trust me on this one.  He will really help you have a great celebration!
