Delicious steak house! I had a ruth classic which consisted off a soup as a starter but there were other options, 6 oz filet minion and 2 lobster tails mashed potato on the side and even came with a dessert! I paid 69.95 for this and loved it! The food was absolutely delicious. Ambiance was great. Most of the staff was great! And lots of seating available they have their dining room plus extra seating around the bar area first come first served. Definitely would come back! More...

After being out of town for the past 10 days for Christmas in TN, we realized that we didn't have a NYE dinner reservation. Â We called RC late this afternoon to see if they had anything available. Â Although they were fully booked, Jessica recognized my phone number as a frequent guest and said she'd check to see what they could do to accommodate our party of 4. Â Laura came on the line to let me know that they could fit us in at 7:15pm with Laz (our favorite waiter in all of NYC), and that we'd have to have our reservation available (in print or on our phone) for gaining access to 51st and 7th avenue, since NYPD would be checking everyone since the location is so close to Time Square. Â Fast forward to getting past security and into the restaurant. Â We were greeted warmly by the group at reception and they seated us at our table. Â Laz was our waiter, as he has been for the past 10 years (10+ visits/year) we've been visiting this location in NYC. Â He greeted us with our "usual" - a bottle of Eroica Reisling and my "slightly" dirty martini with bleu cheese olives. Â As always, Laz was on point - from filling us in on the latest NYE specials to his valuable insight on the new menu additions. Â As far as the meal goes, the food always delivers, so when you have a friendly, knowledgeable and attentive waiter (Laz) taking care of you, why wouldn't we want to keep coming back! Great burger. I don't eat burgers but this one was absolutely perfect in every way. Medium cane came out medium and was perfectly dressed with the perfect amount of lettuce  cheese  and  sauce. The most perfect part was the crunch on the grilled bun. The second I bit into in my prime burger and it was piping hot, I knew this was a memorable moment. The fries that arrived on the side in a classy silver cup were also piping hot and wonderfully seasoned. Can you tell I'm a fan of freshly prepared piping hot food?! Burrata was enjoyed at our table. Just wanted to say that the GM of this This Ruth Chris GM has to be one of the most professional Managers iv ever encountered in any establishment. I had a big issue there and really not anyone's fault just the way it was and this man Acted on his own accord and reached out to me so fast and efficient and rectified the problem with great intensity. The food is amazing. Â My ribeye was the best I've ever had and my husband's filet was the best he's ever had, too. Â The drinks were perfect as well. Â The ambiance was just right and we had a great time. Â The only negative part was the waitress mixed our order up three times. Â Once when she asked my husband if he wanted a blue cheese crust on the ribeye I ordered (and we had to catch her after she left to correct the mistake), the second time was she tried to serve us each other's entree and the third was she gave us each other's side dish. I came with my wife to celebrate her birthday along with some friends first time for us great atmosphere our waiter Ramon was great and knowledgeable my wife had the surf and turf and I had the Rib eye steak along with macaroni cheese with lobster and it was all very tasty the sides can be shared with 2 or 3 people

First time in, and let me tell you how impressed I was! We made a reservation for 7 for my parents anniversary. My parents had been, but the rest of the family hadn't. Upon arrival, we were greeted, car doors opened, and our car was taken by the valet. We walked in and sat down for not even 2 minutes before we were taken to our table. The table was gorgeous and was adorned with rose petals, candles, and cards. Looking at the menu, I had no idea what they served or what the pricing was like. I was a bit shocked to say the least, but no problem. Most of us split a side and we each got our own steak. I got the New York Strip well done as I'm pregnant, but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to eat the entire steak! The steak itself was juicy and was mostly lean which is what I look for in a good steak. The mashed potatoes had just the right amount of flavor, and the portion was very generous. In the end, my boyfriend and I split the creme brûlée which I really enjoyed. Fresh fruit, and the caramelized sugar on top tasted like burnt marshmallow which is the only way to eat them, of course! We stuck with water, and all throughout our meal, our glasses never had the chance to reach anything less than half full because the man filling up water was incredibly attentive.. every food establishment needs to take note on that! I come to this place with my friends for the first time. Two of my friends came for the steak and since I don't eat beef I choose seafood. Once you walk in, they have nice atmosphere, the setting of tables and lighting looks great, they also have a bar section.They have a very attentive waitress, very knowledgeable. When he spoke to us he will have a great eye contact. Definitely great service. His name is Nicholas if I'm not wrong.He didn't rush us which is important since this is our first time to try this place.For appetizers we order the calamari and sweet chili shrimp. They both tasted really good. Calamari is not the plain fry one, it has some kind of sauce on it and it was great! I definitely love the shrimps.For main menu ; I think my friends ordered T-bone steak and rib eye, didn't hear any complaints from them so must be ok. I can't speak for them but I ordered the barbecue shrimps , doesn't look like bbq or taste like what the name said but they soak in creamy yummy sauces. We really enjoyed having Dane as our server- he has perfected the art of not hovering but always being nearby when needed. Our salads, steaks, shoestring fries, and creme brulee were perfect, as always. I’d previously had the Brussels sprouts at the Metairie location and was blown away- this visit the sprouts lacked the roasted/charred edges and depth of flavor in the butter sauce- can’t win them all. Of course this was Christmas Day and the restaurant was booked solid for the day but overall the food was great and the service was excellent. Everyone knows that this is a pricey restaurant so in my opinion don’t go there if you aren’t prepared to pay. They serve my wife’s favorite wine by the glass which is Caymus so she was very happy with that. Ruth Chris pleasantly impressed me. I liked it a lot. The dining room was quiet and nicely appointed. It was a relaxing atmosphere. The menu was very large and there were many tasty options on it. I went with the 3-course holiday classics special since it provided everything I had anticipated getting anyways. I added in an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. They were four to an order and they were decently sized. They were stuffed with crabmeat and cheese - classic, but very good. I started with the Spinach & Arugula Salad. It contained roasted asparagus, pickled red onion, eggs, bacon, candied pecans, and a dijon vinaigrette and beet dressing. I liked all the flavors, though it wasn't tossed very well as the beet was really heavy against the plate beneath the last spinach layer. My friend started with the lobster bisque ($2 upcharge on the 3-course meal price) which he said was good flavor wise, but it was very runny and served in a really sloppy bowl that could have used a napkin wipe prior to serving. For my main I got the 6 oz filet. The menu also offered 8 and a very large 11 oz option. I found the 6 perfect. It was cooked nicely and topped with two pieces of large shrimp which was nice. The steak is served on a 500 degree plate which keeps it warm the entire meal. For my side I got the garlic mashed potatoes. They were a personal portion. They were delicious, but they were swimming in butter. When they were served, the top literally had visible puddles of melted butter on it. The portion of the dessert however was hilariously tiny. It was the size of that last bite that usually gets left behind. I was worried this would be the case with the entire 3-course menu which thankfully wasn't the case. Aside from a little slow service and this tiny dessert I've no complaints about the experience. The dessert itself was delicious. It was a Praline Bread Pudding with whiskey sauce. Wonderful as always. My husband and I have come here for years and are always impressed with our meals. We always split the New York strip, get a steak salad, and get some sort of potato side. This time we added the lobster Mac and cheese and it was to DIE for. So so delicious, highly recommend. From the outset we were greeted cordially by the front desk, then guided to our waiting table. Before were were seated well our water glasses had been filled, and were kept that way throughout the evening by a very attentive lady. Our waiter was friendly and courteous, answering a couple of questions we had about the menu (which was abbreviated for the Christmas Holiday, and thus threw us off just a little). we were able to order what we wanted, and as usual the food came out hot and delicious. Enjoyed in Baton Rouge for a change, my wife and I do a lot of traveling and always try to eat at a RC.The BR restaurant is not quite as large as the out of town restaurants we usually frequent but the food is on par with any other RC. Will go back for dinner real soon.
