Andrew of Rhodes Entertainment did an amazing job and making my son and daughter in law’s wedding wonderful. We had a music emergency 2 days before the wedding and Rhodes made it happen and did it brilliantly. Rhodey Entertainment was incredible to work with for our wedding! Their communication was top-notch from the start. They had a wonderful in-depth survey where they asked about our music preferences and wedding day timeline to ensure they were fully prepared. On the day of, Tim did a phenomenal job keeping the party going and on schedule. His sense of humor was great and he did an excellent job of informing guests about upcoming events and where to go. The lighting they provided was perfect, and the DJ setup looked professional. Tim played all the songs we requested as well as taking requests from our guests throughout the night. We had multiple phone calls with Andrew and he was always eager to answer any questions we had. The only thing I would have liked different was the format of the music questionnaire. Andrew went above and beyond what we could have hoped and wished for our big day. He was able to supply audio equipment for the ceremony, as well as a beautiful set up for the reception which included lighting to make sure our guests were safe at night. My husband and I have a very specific taste in music, so we curated a playlist for the reception of all our favorite songs. Andrew beautifully executed the playlist, as well as gave us recommendations for artists we completely forgot about but he knew we’d be interested adding due to his expertise! Ty was our dj for our wedding and he was amazing. All our special songs even our recessional he timed perfectly, since my husband and I wanted it to start at a specific part. There were positive and less positive aspects of my experience with Rhodey entertainment and I want to be honest about both! The Positives: - Tim was a great hype man and overall a good person - He learned a line dance and taught it to my guests (most were not from NC and found that incredibly cool!) - Both Tim and Andrew were very receptive and easy to contact; they were thorough in checking in and making sure we had everything correct in the days leading up - Our guests had a great time! The Less Positives: - The original DJ we had booked was Andrew, and he had to back out somewhat last minute; while we were given notice and had a chance to speak to the replacement, Tim, it felt like we had limited other options on how to proceed as we were given notice only one month before our date - Despite a comprehensive phone call with DJ Tim two days before the reception, there were multiple things incorrect/messed up, including the version of my processional song and our entrance song - Despite giving our must play and do not play, very little of our must plays were played (and some of the songs chosen were not landing correctly with the crowd), and one of my absolute do not plays WAS played Overall, we had a good experience, and our guests will never know that anything wasn't exactly how it was supposed to be, but after months of emailing and a phone call two days before, my husband and I agree that one too many little mistakes were made. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Any DJ worth their salt will read the crowd. With your input, we help create an amazing selection of music that you and your guests can get down to!
How would you describe your ‘style’?
We let the music do the talking. Of course we emcee, and make sure your big day goes incredibly smooth by commanding the room, but we don't have an ego. It's your day, not ours.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Capture the EMOTION. So many photographers can make a great image, but it FEELS sterile. My goal is to capture the beauty of the day, with a special eye for catching the emotion and feeling of your wedding.
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people, having fun, and providing the perfect night for the newlyweds!
What inspired you to start your own business?
We all are musicians, and love playing music for people. It's in our blood. To create the excitement where people are having a great time with their friends and family, while dancing to great music, is an adrenaline rush. It's also so rewarding to see the Newlyweds smiling and having a blast! I also had a special relationship with capturing beautiful images, starting with the bands I used to tour with, and play in.

We aren't old grumpy men that just press play. We mix the music, and bring lighting that is custom programmed to work with each individual song we play during open dance. We also aren't gimmicky. We are the DJ company you want when you are looking for a solid, reliable, fun, and stress free DJ experience!
