Aly and the RTP team are so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their work I could not recommend them enough to work with your reactive pup. Before working with Aly and RTP I believed my dog was unpredictable and mean. In reality, I was not equipped to support my pup how she really
needed me to. I was unaware of the subtle body language and behavioral cues she was giving off telling me she was in an uncomfortable environment or situation. Through privates, group events, day boarding and a board and train Aly has given me the confidence and knowledge I needed to comfortably take my reactive/aggressive dog into the world and give her the experiences I didn't trust her in previously!
My favorite quality Aly possesses is how patient and understanding she was when I would ask way too many questions, she is truly committed to giving her clients the tools to best help their dogs succeed. Aly has also reached out to me several times after sessions and responded positively to my feedback. I know my dog loves Aly as much as I do!

Meeting Aly and the RTP team was the best thing for my reactive dog. Aly is knowledgeable and really cares to see us thrive and succeed as a team. She’s not one to shy away from any questions and answers them all without judgment! My dog did a 6 week board and train with RTP and has since gone back for overnight boardings with them. I feel very safe leaving my dog with the RTP team which can be hard since I don’t trust many people to take care of him. I can see how much they care for all the dogs they have and how much work they put in. I have never had a bad experience with RTP and I will be sending my dog back to them in the future! More...

Aly has been a blessing for us and our pup Lenny. She works continuously to help us work through his reactivity. Without her we know Lenny would not have the freedom he does today! He is improving everyday. Lenny joined the 6 week board and train and it was so hard to be away from him but so so worth it in the end. Aly offers free unlimited follow ups after your dog completes the board and train for the remainder of your dogs life. I have found a new love for training my dog because of her and I trust her fully with my dog (even more than myself sometimes lol). We are complemented every day on how well behaved Lenny is, even in his puppy/ adolescence phase. Along with the follow ups you pay no extra for any “meet ups” after your board and train (ie dog socials, off leash hikes, brewer manners, etc.). We love her and appreciate her raw and unfiltered advice/ training. More...

I met Aly earlier this summer to find a new space for Lilo, our fear reactive lab. I felt very confident in sending Lilo right away as Aly disclosed her experience working with reactive/aggressive dogs and I also was so impressed by her own dog, Yogi & how neutral he was around Lilo. We sent Lilo to Aly just wanting for Lilo to be exposed to working with another handler in a space, other than her own… and we got way more than that! Lilo’s loose leash walking is more than I could have dreamed at this point, and Aly has been so kind to solidify Lilo’s place command in spaces like coffee shops… not to mention Lilo has been a lucky gal to be able to go hiking w Aly and meet other dogs!!! Aly is incredibly knowledgeable & very caring towards Lilo and other dogs in her care. Lilo loves her and enjoys going to day boarding!!! More...

These immersive programs help owners and their dogs live a happy and healthy life, together. By staying in a home setting as opposed to a facility/boarding type setting, each dog is integrated into our life like one of our own. With our programs, we not only teach the dog our rules, expectations and boundaries but we also spend a great amount of time working with you, the owner, to make sure everyone is successful and confident in the training! While we set a solid foundation for the dog, follow through and consistency with the training when the dog heads back home is crucial for continued progress and success.

Both Board and Train (4 Week and 6 Week Behavior Modification) programs include a consultation (required) before signing up for any program, a 60 minute Mid Way session, and a 90 minute Go Home session at the end of the program where we work with the owner to transfer all of the information, knowledge and techniques needed to ensure each owner/dog team is set up for success once returning home.

Each dog goes home with a top-of-the-line Ecollar (Micro or Mini Educator from Ecollar Technologies, a $220 value) and a training collar best suited for the individual dog (prong, toggle chain, slip leash).

When you enroll in one of our programs, the training doesn’t end when your dog goes home. Upon completion of the program, we will serve you and your family, for the entire lifetime of your dog with free Follow-Up sessions (no limit), touch- ups while overnight boarding/day boarding, and our continued support wherever it's needed.

There are no "quick fixes" in dog training. We do not believe certain behaviors (example: aggression, fearfulness, etc) can be "fixed" in 2 weeks. We want to make sure the dog has truly learned their obedience in the presence of distractions and without bribing them to do so with food, we want to make sure we are addressing root causes for behaviors issues and not just putting band-aids over the issue, we want to make sure the dog is in a clear, calm, and confident state of mind. We have incredibly high standards and expectations for the dogs in our programs, which is why we offer longer (than industry average) Board and Train programs.

Private Lessons are a la carte and are $160/ hour; if the location of the lesson is more than 10 miles outside of Aly's home in Lafayette, it is $1/mile each way (outside the 10 miles). During these sessions initially we will discuss where you feel your dog is at and determine the skills that you feel your dog needs guidance with. Therefore, during the session to ensure expectations are clear for the dog, we start with little to no distractions so we can properly teach how to follow leash pressure and/or any training collars, engagement with handler, understanding of their obedience with proper positioning, consistency, and duration. The success of Private Lessons will be largely up to the work you do with your dog outside of the 1 Hour Lesson. Once your dog has a clear understanding of rules and expectations, we will begin to take these practices to more distracting environments in their next lessons. It is important to keep in mind that proper, fair training, especially in terms of reactivity and behavior modification, takes time and there is no quick fix, so in many cases it will require more than a few lessons to reach your end goals!
