I was born and raised in Seattle, attended WSU where I met my husband, and now live near the neighborhood where I grew up, with my husband and two children. I have been taking photos professionally for nearly 15 years and left my job in technology in 2016 to pursue photography full-time.

My wife and I were lucky enough to connect with Erin for our small wedding this summer. From the start she was communicative, organized, engaged and very helpful. She helped ease our anxieties about the process and was extremely flexible throughout. We met twice beforehand to go over the plan/details, and she scouted the venue on her own accord. On the wedding day she was both everywhere and under the radar, slipping in and out of the major moments, finding the candid moments and helping corral people for group pictures. Erin did a lovely job photographing my low-key wedding celebration at Cathedral in Ballard. The venue was inside, some natural light from skylights and sidelights, and then low lights/party lights for some dancing. We hired Erin to photograph cocktail hour, speeches and vows, and some dancing. She did a great job! I know it can be tough to photograph indoors in the evening. My favorites were of cocktail hour and speeches. She captured very really moments of friends hugging, chatting, cheers-ing. We did a few posed photos, which are fine and dandy. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The ability to elicit genuine emotions and finding the light. I want the people I work with to feel comfortable, the more relaxed they are, the more authentic the photos. I check out locations prior to photo shoots so I can find the spots with the best natural light.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What kind of photos would you like to have of your family? Do you like candid or posed photos? What kind of background where you looking for? How many people and how many children? Will you be including your pets (please say yes)?

Meeting new people and capturing the love families have for one another.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After almost ten years in technology, I decided it was time to focus on my health, my family, and what makes me happy.

Proposal
I've done a number of these, one time I even delivered a pizza to the picnic spot. They are so lovely and exciting.
