With Pure Barre it's not a place to come and feel welcomed and encouraged. You're a number to them and once they getcha, they take all they can get from you. I unfortunately lost my job in May earlier this year 2023, and spoke with Audra at the Albuquerque, NM location off Holly Ave where I had the membership. I wished to cancel at the time due to finances being tight for an unknown amount of time. Fast forward to a couple days ago when I get a charge for $20 and then another charge for $175. Unauthorized. I called and left 2 voice-mail before a Christa Culbertson called me back. She advised me I would have needed to send an email to cancel. Well Audra never told me that. Christa proceeds to tell me she has evidence that I messaged their text line to cancel or discontinue services until I could afford it again but that it didn't matter because it wasn't sent in an email. I used 1 month of the 3 months I was charged for. Not only that to not have any communication from anyone before my account was negligently charged is bad customer service. Not to mention the fact I asked Christa for the corporate information and she tells me she's going to her website to get it. She tells me she can't find the information and that I can waste my night looking for it so she can get on with hers. She laughed at me several times and told me it didn't matter I only used the services 1 month, they still could charge me for the other 2 also. Less than a month before Christmas I'm charged for services I didn't use. Thanks alot Pure Barre. Hopefully I'll still be able to afford somewhat of a remaining year now that I'm short on rent and bills because of this erroneous and totally unexpected charge. I was blindsided.
