Describe your creative process.
I always start with storyboards and design sketches. I have a sketch book. I might take my camera and look for palette ideas. I use the Adobe Color CC App. If its a medical illustration, I will do research and check reference materials.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I need to know the demographics of the audience they are trying to reach. I need to understand their messaging. I will ask for as many references as thy can give me. If they want a marketing video they need, then I will ask them to look for similar videos that they like. The client designer- relationship is a partnership. I want my clients to know up front that I not only welcome their input, but that I really require it.
What do you love most about your job?
I went to art school to study sculpture and painting. Though I run a business, its a creative business, and as long as I get the opportunity to be creative and inspired I am happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was an art director at a video production studio in Boston. After awhile, I got frustrated with the sales staff determining my budgets and what clients I had to work with. I went out on my own because I knew I could lower my budgets and pursue the clients I really wanted to work with.

3D Animation
We do 3D modeling from scratch as well as importing CAD and SolidWorks files into our software to create 3D animations for product demos, marketing videos, and promotion videos for the medical device and healthcare industries. We also create architectural walk-throughs, 3D logo animations, and medical related 3D animations.
Motion Graphics
Paul is an expert in Adobe After Effects with over 20 years experience, creating broadcast show opens, corporate meeting openers, info-graphics, how-to-videos, educational videos, trad-show videos, and explainer videos.
Paul also was well versed in Flash and now CC Animate, for character animation and interactive media.
Medical Illustration
Paul has been a medical Illustrator and animator for 25 years working mostly in the Boston area, and now Sarasota Florida. He has created medical illustrations for Health Dialog, Instrumentation Laboratory, Brown University, Mass General Hospital, Harvard University, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Southern New Hampshire University, Dartmouth-Hitchcock, and Genzyme.
Logo Design
Paul Has created several logos for Instrumentation Laboratory Worldwide and many other healthcare companies, as well as logos for many startup businesses.
Marketing Videos
Pridgeon Design Group has created marketing videos for Honeywell, Timberland, Sumitomo SHI FW, Phillips, MyLudus, Reprieve Cardiovascular, Gefion, Biophysics, Renal Guard and many others.
