From our first interaction, the team at Phillips Protective were consummate professionals and genuinely kind people.
I called Phillips Protective mere days before my event was scheduled and they were able to come out for our event to do security; I can't overstate how much I appreciated their flexibility and prompt communication.
Marc was the security guard who worked our event, and he blew my expectations out of the water. My boss was also super impressed by how engaged Marc was, not sitting by the door looking at his phone like some other guards we saw at SXSW events.

What do you love most about your job?
Maybe everyone is born with a purpose. Maybe not. We definitely were - a purpose and a passion for protecting people. It's difficult to work here, from our qualification and selection process to our exacting standards on the job. We like it that way. None of our agents simply fell into working for Phillips Protective.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been doing this for 27 years. I've occasionally seen it done well. Most often, I've witnessed a primary focus on profit and very little concern for what happens when the client actually needs protection. Warm body security is evidently acceptable to some, but we think the majority of security clientele expect and deserve more.
Why should our clients choose you?
Most of those who choose Phillips Protective have seen what's out there. They've hired other security companies or they've witnessed unprofessional, unsightly, inexperienced guards on the job. They choose not to pay for that.
