Pawsitive K9 came highly recommended to me by my hairstylist, who has been sending her puppy there. Wow! They didn’t disappoint. Our Goldie is 7 months old, but she is already 62 pounds and was pulling me like a sled dog every single walk. She is easily distracted. Leaf, squirrel, shadow, Anything! I can’t have her pulling me because I have lower back and neck issues. We sent her to the full one week training and then added two more days. So happy we did! I can walk her without being pulled/yanked down the street. She’s not perfect yet, but I was told that this is a continuous process. I have to keep working at it. I’ve been practicing the training cues that John taught me when he came for the one hour training at our home. Extremely helpful. Plus, I enjoyed receiving the daily videos and pictures of what was taught and learned. Willow always looked happy and cared for. It took me a long time to find the right training program for my three dogs - It only required one inquiry to know that Lori and her entire team are caring, compassionate and professional. Lori's training method's and how her entire team communicates with our family's goals for bringing out the best relationship and cohesive dynamic for our dogs has improved the quality of life in our home. Our dogs loved their board and train - the results were impressive. I knew my dogs were in trusted hands and had updated communication on their progress as well as video to see their growth! Our 5 month baby Shenzi did a 2 week board and train with Lori and her team and I have to say the level of professionalism was top notch. We received daily photo and video updates on her progress and a clean off-boarding process to train us (as the parents) on how to continue the training at home. John was extremely helpful and clearly educated in dog training. He gave us clear and concise instructions which were very easy for us to implement. Thank you again John. As for Shenzi’s progress, there is a VERY noticeable difference. She now understands basic commands - which are vital to break some of her difficult habits, such as barking at people/dog passerby’s. And while we haven’t broken that yet, I’m confident that with tools Pawsitive gave us, she’ll learn in no time. She is also much better at home, much calmer and easier to handle. She seemed to break the puppy “rambunctiousness” while she was boarded. And bonus points that she seems to be house broken now! We've been sending our puppy (now 5 months old) to Lori and the staff at Pawsitive K9 3 days a week for 12 weeks now, and she has become such a well behaved little dog! She has learned all the basic commands, including a lot of potty training help, how to be comfortable riding the car, play with other dogs, walk on leash and so much more! I had to go into surgery and be in the hospital for four days I needed someplace to board and train my Belgian malinois thought I had found someplace I could trust with my dog unfortunately I wasVery disappointed with this dog training, the owner of the business does not take any personal care or any personal attention to the dog training, owners of facilities should always do an in person evaluation of the dog that they are going to board not send somebody else out to do it. They should then relay that information to their dog trainers to ensure that dog training is done correctly and in compliance with the owner of the dog. at this facility at this business, this does not take place. My dog has $12,000 in advanced protection and specialized training this facility charged me $1800 Completely changing her original training and confusing the dog completely. Don’t know if we will ever be able to recover my suggestion is do not use this location very impersonal and unprofessional They were calling my dog a whole different name for four days Very disappointed if you are looking for professional dog trainers, my advice is please look someplace else More...

Lori and her staff are INCREDIBLE! When our Dutch Shepherd, Rusty, was four months old, we realized he needed more than just weekly group lessons. I called a few trainers, and when I spoke with Lori, she really seemed to understand our needs and offered to come to our house the following day. She taught us a lot in our first session, and also suggested we send him to her Puppy Day School, at which he could also socialize with other dogs. We did a combination of Puppy Day School and private lessons for a few months which was invaluable! Now, at eleven months old, Rusty attends Puppy Day School weekly, and is extremely excited every time they come to pick him up! If any issues arise during the week, we tell them, and they work on those specific things with him at school. Otherwise, they reinforce his now amazing loose-leash walking and other commands. Lori and her staff truly care about him and all of the dogs they train! They even email me a report after each day at school, with videos showing what they worked on with him. They also board dogs, and we tried it when we went on a short trip. When we got back and they delivered Rusty to us, we thought he would go crazy to see us. Instead, he greeted us as if he had only been gone for a day at Puppy Day School, and he had no behavior issues afterwards. That proved to us how much he truly enjoys being there, whether for one day or several. My husband and I could not be more happy, impressed, and grateful that we found Lori and her staff to train our very smart, loving, and strong-willed dog. This review is regarding there customer service. I received a call from the team, they asked a few questions and realized I needed specialized training for my dog. I talk to the owner and she was so kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. "I wouldn't want a general practioner operating on my knee" Instead of just saying yes and taking my money, she walked me through how to find a service dog trainer. She also looked over some options on the internet with me and gave me a few questions to ask. This was pure human decency at it finest! She also said I could text her if I had questions or didn't understand some descriptions like "husbandry". All while knowing we were on a free consultation call. Lori and her team truly helped us tame our very wild rescue beagle puppy! He behaves so much better at home — we can actually all relax in the living room without him tearing up the pillows or barking at us to get up and play. Lori and her team treated Archie with so much love and care, like he was one of their own dogs. They are also very accommodating and picked up/dropped off our dog. Lori and team’s knowledge, love and compassion for our Fur Family members is wonderful. My now one year old puppy, came from a rescue situation at age four months and had a bully appearance.
We had a negative experience with another trainer using choke collars etc.. that was not positive. It took a few tries to finally find the right trainer for my fur baby.

What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new dogs and learning what their owners needs are and how I can bring my knowledge and expertise to help them have a more fulfilling relationship with their beloved pet. I love watching the transformation and connection of a new dog or puppy with their family. I assist them with communication so that they can connect and live together in harmony.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working with animals pretty much my whole life, I knew that working with them was my future. Successfully founding and co-managing a dog walking services business, I saw a missing link that was needed for training. My passion is working with owners and their dogs to transform their dogs into well behaved, loving pets.

I am a certified dog trainer with over 22 years of experience of working closely with dogs and their owners. In the past, I co-founded Animal Magnetism Pet Professionals which has been firmly established in the industry for over two decades.
In addition to my hands-on experience in professional dog training and other services, I am a member of Pet Sitters International and a Certified Pet First Aid and CPR provider.
