In-person meetings matter. I believe that when people come together, powerful things happen. And when they do, there should be laughter in the room
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a Nashville songwriter I used to perform at the Bluebird Cafe. It was there that I learned how to blend story and song into a performance. The Bluebird is not known for the famous artists that perform there, but the songwriters who wrote the songs. After a performance one evening a man approached me and asked if I would perform for his company meeting that was happening in Nashville a couple of month later. I eagerly agreed and put together an hour of stories and songs. After the performance he approached me and said everyone loved your speech. I thought speech...what speech? I'm not a speaker, I'm a songwriter; He then handed me a check for $500. I said I'm glad you enjoyed my speech. I realized on that day that there is a place in the meetings industry for a blend of entertainment and content. It is just as easy to put on an engaging meeting as it is to produce a boring one with just panels and cluttered powerpoint slides. Since that day 20+ years ago I have developed content around customer experience, teambuilding, and sales as seen through the eyes of a songwriter.

Clients should choose me because of my unique presentation style. It is different than a typical speaker. Great speakers have a magic trick, meaning they have something unique that sets them apart. Be it a unique signature story, life experience, comedy, music, magic. I happen to blend many of those in one presentation. In 2020 I joined my college roommate in founding a chemical company that manufactures an ecofriendly herbicide. Yes..I left the bright lights of Nashville to follow my dreams into the chemical business :-) . My experience in placing a product into some of the largest brands in the country gives me a real world business perspective that helps me align my message with the goals of your event.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
One positive thing that emerged from the pandemic is our ability to connect through zoom and other web-based platforms. I will have zoom calls with your team in advance to make sure my program aligns with your goals and will customize according to your needs.
