We had the pleasure of working with Jeanne from Pack Academy on several occasions. Once when we reached out asking for guidance and recommendations with our puppy, Sam, and secondly when we enlisted her help to onboard and do a more in-depth training with Sam.
Immediately and during our first interaction with Jeanne, I noticed how observant and knowledgeable she was about dogs and about Sam’s breed in general. Jeanne listened intently while we described the issues and concerns, we faced with Sam while also providing useful and educational information in return. The first interaction was exploratory, and we received good tips and training techniques to help with Sam. The second time we enlisted Jeanne’s help was to further solidify what Jeanne had taught us originally and to further train Sam since he was now older.
When we reached out to Jeanne a second time, she had remembered our first interaction with Sam and remembered some of the challenges we faced with Sam, particularly with resource guarding and growling. Jeanne described her list of services and without a doubt, we elected a two-week program. During this time, Jeanne would text us constantly giving us updates and providing video, (almost daily) to show his progress. Within a few days, we noticed a significant improvement with Sam. The videos Jeanne would send would include her training Sam, so we were able to see the training in real time. At the end of the two weeks and when Sam came home, Jeanne spent some time with us going over the training program techniques, she even wanted us to videotape the sessions, so we had this information at our fingertips in case we needed to refer to it in the future. It was a lot of information and she wanted to ensure we had the resources in case we needed to refer to them. Since then, Sam has been a calmer dog, we applied the tools and techniques Jeanne provided and taught which have helped tremendously.
We highly recommend Pack Academy and can’t say enough good things about Jeanne and the care and training she provided to our Sam. We felt so comfortable with Jeanne that we enlisted their help again when we needed to leave Sam for a weekend. I knew Jeanne would take very good care of Sam. Ultimately, we were sad to see them move because we would have worked with them again.

When I first contacted Pack Academy I was unsure if I was going to be able to get any training at all for my two 8+ year old chihuahuas. After consulting with Jeannine, we went ahead with in home classes where we got to practice hands on and learned how to manage reactivity and resource guarding. Although it will be a lengthy process to recondition Catalina and Federico and break them away from old habits, we are now hopeful and happy to have improved our relationship with our dogs. More...

We have a Havapoo and he had trouble responding to commands so we signed up for the two week training and he was able to learn how to sit, come, and stay. We also learned how to properly walk him on a leash. In general, my husband and I learned how to teach him to do what we want. Jeannine is very helpful and still answers our questions when something new comes up. I definitely recommend! They do a great job at training the dogs but also the humans on how to continue training at home. More...

What inspired you to start your own business?
My passion for dog training began when I shadowed my mentor and saw puppies as young as eight weeks mastering commands in busy public spaces. It was incredible to witness their potential and the impact that consistent, compassionate training could have—not just on the dogs, but on the families they belong to. That moment sparked a lifelong commitment to helping dogs and their owners thrive together.
My journey started with raising service dogs, and it evolved into providing a range of services like behavioral modification, house training, and puppy training. Behavioral Modification Training
Behavior modification is a treatment/management approach, based on the principles of operant conditioning, that replaces undesirable behaviors with more desirable ones. We offer both private sessions and board and train depending on each individual case.
We create a personalized behavioral training plan and guide you through this process by setting up Staged training scenarios for leash reactivity, fear, aggression, Barking, Digging, Destructive Chewing, etc.
