I am a functional fitness coach, an integrative nutrition coach, and a Wellness coach. I work from a beautiful private facility that is well equipped for functional training. We do not use machines like the big box gyms. I focus on training my clients to get as strong as possible in the movements of everyday life.

My 82 year-old dad saw the results of working out with my awesome trainer, Misti, pay off twice tonight. I saw these occurrences as they happened.
😳
The first time, he dropped a piece of paper by his desk. He bent over (from a standing position) to pick up the paper. He leaned on the seat of the rolling chair for support. The rolling chair started to move away from him, but he was able to recover and pick up the piece of paper without ending up on the floor.
The second time he was preparing dinner and was by the table. He turned to walk to get a plate out of a cabinet and his foot got caught on the leg of the chair. It tripped him up, but he was able to recover quickly, keep his balance, and not end up on the floor.
My dad, being the funny guy, said he was just trying to show off the skills he has gained since working out with Misti. 🤣🥰💪🏋🏼
I am so thankful for Misti 💕 I’m afraid the outcome would have been drastically different in both instances if he hadn’t been training with her for the past three weeks. I’m so impressed with his results in such a short time!
Side note: before he went to work out with Misti today, he was tired and his lower back was sore. When he came back he told me how much better he felt - not as sore and visibly more energetic.

I'm 47 and just started working with Misti. I'm doing strength training. Misti created a customized program for me. She is able to show me exercises that pin point specific areas I need to work on.
She is also able to change an excerise if I'm having a balance or mobility issue.

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I meet each client where they are. Everyone is in a unique situation and therefore a cookie cutter program is not going to cut it! I sit down with them and have them go through an extensive health history. I speak with them thoroughly about their injuries, surgeries, limitations, and barriers. I use a full body, State-of-the-art 3D body scanner that uses DEXA technology to measure their muscle mass, body fat, bone density, and measures over 32 different circumference points on their body. We do this every 3 months to track progress. Then I devise a plan to help them get where they want to be without overworking themselves or restricting energy intake. Rescanning every 3 months helps us to know that we are on track and what we need to add or remove from the program
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
Consistency! The body of your dreams does not come in a few weeks or even a few months. It takes consistent effort for the rest of your life. Whether or not you decide to work with me for 3 months, 6 months, or forever, I can teach you the tools that will send you on your way to a stronger, healthier, better version of you!
What do you love most about your job?
There are so many things that I love about this work. It has never felt like work to me, because I get to watch people grow and become healthier day after day and week after week. My favorite part about this job is watching my clients make progress and knowing that I was a part of their transformation, however that they did all the work. That is the best feeling in the world not only for me but for them!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After over 10 years of being a trainer and working for someone else, I realized that I had the knowledge and the skill to do this on my own. It was a scary shift and it took me some time to learn what it took to be a business owner, but now I will never turn back. I love the flexibility, the discipline, and the reward of being able to say, "I did this! I am a business owner! I get results for my clients!"
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose me because I am experienced. I am empathetic to each person's unique needs and goals. I understand the aging process and that our bodies level of capability changes over the years, however we still need to be pushed and challenged to achieve new goals. I do this in a safe and effective way. I can proudly say that I have never had an injury under my watch. As a matter of fact, I have helped more people get over injuries, and lifelong aches and pains simply by making them stronger, more flexible, and more mobile.

I can absolutely work with you online. I've been doing this for nearly 5 years. This started during the COVID shutdown. We were forced out of our facility and we had to do something to continue to work. About half of my clients decided to start working with me over zoom. Many of them have never turned back because they just love online training so much. I offer a free zoom session so that you can try it out if you are unsure about home workouts. I will help you with the technology and get you all set up for success! This is so convenient and works extremely well for many of my clients
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I work in a beautiful, extremely clean private facility. There are spaces in this building that can keep my clients safely distance from the other clients in the building. If someone is being extra protective and uncertain about being too close to anyone, I completely understand this and I offer online training which works very well for many of my clients .
Functional fitness trainer
Functional Fitness training is about learning how to use your body in everyday life situations. I can train you to become as strong as possible without using a ton of weight and really learning to use your body in the way it was meant to be used. We can work on balance, stability, mobility, flexibility and overall body weight strength. You will find that when doing this type of training, your body is less stressed and it becomes easier to build muscle and lose weight
Integrative Health and Wellness Coach
There are so many other factors that go into whole health rather than just fitness and nutrition. I can certainly train you and help you with what you should eat, but I believe the most important factors are sleep hygiene, stress management, eating in a way that works with your unique situation, and also moving in a way that makes sense for your stage of life and goals. In my coaching practice, I help clients create balance in all areas of health so that they can feel their best ever!
