How long have you been interested in magic?
I have been learning, practicing, and performing magic for almost 9 years.
Take us through your show – what can we expect?
Because it's a magic show, I of course don't want to spoil any of the specific pieces of magic that I perform. Instead, here are a few things about my show that I think are important to know:
1) For me, magic is its best when not experienced passively. So, for my show, I get at least one person from the audience to help me with almost every single trick I perform. Plus, my opening trick (in my stage shows) involves me running out into the audience to get 8 or 10 people involved right away. I don't want there to be a metaphorical wall between the audience and the stage — I want to create an experience we all share together!
2) I do interactive comedy magic shows, and that's because above all else I want everyone to have a ton of *fun*! Magicians, ultimately, are supposed to be entertainers, right? So, I designed my show with the number one goal of being entertaining. That means it is full of silly moments and ridiculous tasks that are bound to get everyone laughing all while the magic itself seems totally impossible.
3) I love what I do, and when I'm performing you can definitely tell! In my experience, when I'm clearly smiling and having fun, it tends to wear off on the audience, too.
What do you love most about your job?
Even more than the magic itself, I love the spontaneous interactions I have with audience members. When I think back to past shows, ALL of my favorite moments were unscripted — they're the bits of unexpected banter between real people having a good time.
Why should our clients choose you?
Logistically, I am very easy to work with. I will bring my own table, tablecloth, whiteboard, and all other props needed for my show so that the only, single thing I need from you is a lapel mic that hooks up to the venue's sound system. That's it. (And even then, depending on the audience size, a sound system may not be necessary at all.)
More importantly than that, though, is this: my number one priority is to be entertaining, and I really care about creating an experience where we all have a ton of fun together.
30 Minute Comedy Magic Stage Show
This show is 30 minutes of interactive comedy magic. Above all else, what is important to me is that the audience and I have a ton of fun together, so I've designed my show to be entertaining both because the magic is inexplicable AND because it is full of ridiculous, silly moments that get the audience involved.
45 Minute Comedy Magic Stage Show
This show is 45 minutes of interactive comedy magic. Above all else, what is important to me is that the audience and I have a ton of fun together, so I've designed my show to be entertaining both because the magic is inexplicable AND because it is full of ridiculous, silly moments that get the audience involved.
Compared to my 30 minute show, this one changes the presentation of one of the tricks and also adds an extra trick. Personally, this is my favorite version of the show.
Walk-Around Magic
To accompany one of my stage shows, I also offer 30-60 minutes of "walk-around" magic before the show. This is perfect for if there is a time allotted during your event for guests to casually mingle with each other. During that time, I move around between small groups to give them the chance to experience magic truly up-close. It also means that I get to meet and personally create magic moments for so many more of your guests, that they get to know me, and that they will be excited for the show before I even get on stage.
30 Minute Close-Up Card Magic Show
This show is perfect for both corporate or more casual events of (typically) about 20 people or less. For most of my time doing magic, my main focus has been with playing cards. So, this show is designed to show a small group of people, very close up, what can be done with just two hands and a deck of cards. But, like with my stage shows, audience interaction is a high priority. My goal is to create a series of mystifying and fun shared moments that we all experience together. I also offer a slightly extended version of this show (around 40 minutes) that integrates a couple of non-card tricks.
