What’s your interior design process?
First I need to see the space, if it is a renovation, so that I can see how it feels and discuss with the homeowner how they would like it to feel after we're done. Then I begin the idea process. I take inspiration from images and the world around me and then begin to design. I create a concept board that will tell the story of the overall space and then make a specification sheet with all the materials and finishes (this is for the contractor).
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I can adapt to any design style that a client desires! My personal favorites are Mid Century Modern and Transitional design. I can do anything from a trendy style to something much more personalized and unique.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the outcome of my design and seeing people's joy in their new space.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked for a commercial design firm for about a year and I didn't like it at all, I felt there was no creativity and it was very mundane. I have my own business so I can have freedom to be creative.
