Came to Santa Clara for a football game at Levi Stadium and was staying in a house near by. Stopped by Mikayla's for breakfast and enjoyed some great food! I had the Cajun Heat breakfast burrito and my brother had the Spicy Pork Tacos - both were delicious! Tons of flavor and good size portions! Food was fantastic, environment was welcoming, and staff were attentive. Definitely recommend this little joint! More...

My friends and I came here for brunch one Sunday afternoon and I was so surprised they weren't that busy. Typically around that time, most places are packed with brunch patrons. Fortunately, they were able to seat us right away. They were so nice and they were able to accommodate a spot for our friend's baby too. I ended up getting the Chorizo & Egg breakfast burrito. I had been craving a breakfast burrito so this definitely satisfied my craving. It had spicy chorizo, jalepenos, eggs, sour cream, and sour cream wrapped up in a slightly soggy tortilla. There wasn't anything that special about it, but it was good nonetheless.Overall, the servers were nice and friendly and the food wasn't too bad. I would definitely come back. More...

This is an easy in and out old school breakfast cafe serving All American favorites like eggs Benedict and combo meals. Â Eggs Benedict were just okay and so was coffee but 4 stars since it's across from Levi Stadium and around the corner from the convention center so extra stars just for location as it's 3 stars for food only.

Lovely little cafe with great quality food and drinks, diverse menu, and homey atmosphere. Mikayla's iced coffee is rich and flavorful and absolutely delightful. The crab cake benedict could have been better if there was more crab and less doughiness in the cake. Otherwise, lovely meal! The hot mama scramble was chock full of good stuff, and I appreciate how they let you substitute the potatoes for a side salad, no charge. Will be coming back to try the other food and drink! More...

Hubby and I were staying at the Hyatt and decided to try someplace else to have breakfast/ brunch after we checked out. Looked at Yelp and found Mikayla's Cafe near to our location. The parking area was full which is always a good sign. After finding a place to park, we walked into the restaurant and all the tables were in use. We decided to sit outside. After a while but before we ordered a table came available inside so we took that table. A waiter came to take our order but unfortunately he was not fluent in English so we couldn't ask any questions. He looked like a sweet boy with a nice smile but why would you have a person who couldn't speak English take orders? Â As it turned out, he didn't get my order correct. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and I specified 2 of them. He thought I wanted 2 orders of pancakes. What came was one pancake and when I said I ordered 2 of them, another one showed up. They were very good however they arrived. Hubby ordered a classic eggs Benedict which he enjoyed. He also ordered orange juice that we had to remind them to bring. We also ordered decaf coffee and when it was brought to the table a waitress said she was going to make another pot. They never came back to refill our cups. In conclusion it was a cute place but we don't feel the need to go back if we are in the area again. More...

we really tested our luck coming here on a saturday morning. there were 5 of us so we assumed the wait would be 30-45 minutes. it was 10:30am! we were seated within 10 minutes! i was so happy that we did not have to wait a long time especially since eating here was unplanned. first thing i noticed about the cafe is their beverage bar! i was so interested so i got the avocado/spinach drink 4/5: it was like nothing i've ever had before so this was memorable. i'm not really into sweets & this was perfect for me because there was a touch of sweetness  from the soy milk in it. (yummm) would recommend for those who love avocados in all forms.i ordered the corned beef hash benedict 4/5: wow! this was so good i've never had corned beef on a benedict so this was exciting to order/eat. it came with crispy potatoes (you could also get hash browns) i really enjoyed the potatoes. the benedict was super tasty but my egg was a tiny bit over cooked, but that's okay it was still really good!my sister ordered a breakfast sandwich with chocolate chip griddle cakes & wow! i tried the pancakes & was in awe! i've only had one experience with chocolate chip griddle cakes & it wasn't good! so when i had these, i was so excited. the quality of chocolate chips far exceeded my expectations & therefore they were my favorite thing that i had while there! for sure would recommend the pancakes 5/5 !!! would recommend & consider it a hidden gem! i hope to come back next time i'm in santa clara More...

Came here w one of my good girlfriends... Â talked about her wedding planning, school, work, life... you get it. Â Anyhoo, this place had a minor waitlist, about 5minutes, but boy did it take forever and a day to get our food. Â Just a little tip, don't come here extremely hungry. Â Otherwise, their menu has a good variety of pancakes and griddles. Â I decided on a veggie griddle. Â Can't complain, good crisp on the potatoes, and well cooked over easy eggs. Â Hmm, their cafe au lait wasn't that appetizing though. Â Overall, a good place to eat before going to a game at Levi's or, working out (which we ended up doing at the Guadalupe Trail.)Atmosphere is more family style. Â Again, no complaints. Â Just good company. More...

So good, we finished everything on our plate! Except the garnish. Â I had a burger a few weeks ago. Came back recently in a breakfast mood. Cleaned that up too. Came here for breakfast with a friend after we had gone running. It was close by the trail and neither of us have been here. It wasn't busy at all. Even on a Saturday morning. I believe it's open seating. They do have waitstaff service. I ordered the veggie scramble with wheat toast and country potatoes and my friend had ordered the classic eggs Benedict. We didn't wait for our food too long. It was actually pretty good. I wanted something healthy although every time I look at the sweet stuff on the menu, I'm always tempted! We did not know about the 2019 CFP National Football Championship. About a block away from the Levi's stadium. This place was filled with only two servers. The servers did really amazing, though. I also thought the food was made properly. I believe their kitchen was properly staffed but they probably needed one person more helping them out at the front. Service was good.I had an Eggs Benedict with a side of country sausage and spring mix salad. Nothing too fancy but the eggs benedict was properly made. Orange juice is freshly squeezed. There were too much items on the menu. Had a hard time deciding but at least there are options for everyone. More...

Great neighborhood cafe/diner on Tasman. Gets too crowded when there are big stadium events at Levi's, but outside of those times it's pretty ideal: big portions, wide options including (rarely for breakfast spots here) great vegan and vegetarian choices. It's still a greasy spoon at heart in all the good ways: when it's slow, you can take your time, people watch, enjoy you time with your breakfast or bunch guests, and still catch the VTA for your next thing. It's definitely American style, but it's done right and I keep finding new options that I enjoy. Really great spot tucked away in the gentrifying wastelands of Agnew/North San Jose. More...

High quality food, great service, and quantity that keeps you happy. Great place to take a large group of your family especially if they are not adventurous eaters coming to the Southbay. I had the hot chicken sandwich and it was exactly that. Spicy, juicy chicken with lettuce onion tomato. The shakes are also very good albeit a little on the small side but I think because the quality is higher you don't need as much. They fed my ravenous family of 7 efficiently and I was quite pleased. This place was BOMB! We stopped in here because of the reviews and everything we had great. Service seemed a bit rushed; my husband and I were talking, didn't really get a chance to loo at the menu; the woman came like 3 times before we could make our choice. I ordered a Frappuccino,I asked for extra ice because I didn't want it watery; I got my extra ice but then it had no flavor, as if they didn't know how to make it with extra ice;m. If someone asked you to put extra ice then maybe you should add extra flavor to compensate for the extra ice. That's just me though. Other than, food was great, establishment was clean and it seemed pretty popular. More...

This is definitely a hidden gem. I don't bother writing reviews.. I don't know about anyone else, but my experiences in the last year have left me with more than a bitter taste in my mouth. From lack of sanitation, qaulity of food to qaulity of service, all extremely disappointing, but this place blew my mind on all areas. So much so I had to write this review, while I am finishing my coffee. It's refreshing to see actual fresh orange juice, a good latte, and the eggs benedicts (many different types). The fried steak had the best gravy I've had in such a long time and the presentation for such a nice mom and pops place was way above par. The passion of the owners and their staff really shows. If there could only be more places who are as  passionate about what they do, they definitely deserve all 5 stars. More...
