I have always loved the Guardians of Transportation on the Hope Memorial Bridge. I approached Michael about capturing images of them for use in our office event space. He spared no effort to get exactly what I long wanted. He made three trips to the bridge to capture the best lighting and perfect angles. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Preparation and agility are what matters most to get the right photograph for the right person at the right time. With that comes good communication, lighting and planning for weather (if outdoors).
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I ask several key questions about specific needs and expectations. I offer advice about background (if not using one I provide), including what a room looks like. If outside, there are other key considerations with lighting, wind, etc. Mostly, I want to know you - your interests, preferences and more.
What do you love most about your job?
I love encountering different situations and people, learning about places and what makes people happy in their lives.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love the flexibility of owning my own business. Photography started in 2020, but my career started in 1986 after graduating from Kent State University. I built a journalism career and then jumped into digital marketing.

I take all sorts of portraits - a couple at their favorite park, a high school senior on a boardwalk and a fan of the outdoors (three hours in November in a creek and swamp). Before a single shot, I'll get to know you and what you prefer. With easy communication, I'll match your interests with my creative touch. I don't have an indoor studio.
Nature Photography
If you need a landscape photo, I'll nail that every time. Let's talk through your hopes and needs. Maybe it's that perfect shot for your home decor or something you need for business, including your website or the lobby.
