What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about being an event planner is seeing the genuine happiness and relief on my clients’ faces when everything comes together. I take pride in turning visions into reality and creating memorable, stress-free moments that people will cherish forever. Every event is personal to me, and it brings me joy to know I’ve played a part in making someone’s day truly special.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve always had a passion for planning and organizing events—turning ordinary spaces into meaningful, joyful celebrations. After years of helping friends and family with their special moments, I realized there was a real need for affordable, creative, and inclusive event planning. I started Micah Events to fill that gap—to show people that you don’t need a huge budget to have a beautiful event. I wanted to create a business that supports the community, uplifts local vendors, and makes every client feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
