What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is seeing how MathPal can make a real difference in students' lives. I love that we provide affordable tutoring, which makes quality math education accessible to so many families. It’s also incredibly rewarding to see how we make math learning fun and engaging through our interactive, game-based approach, helping students build confidence and succeed. Knowing that we’re helping students from diverse backgrounds, especially those who might not have had access to this kind of support before, is truly fulfilling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to start my own business because, as a female Latin mom living in the United States, I faced challenges in communicating with my children’s teachers. This experience showed me an opportunity to support Hispanic families, particularly in math education, where there wasn’t much assistance tailored to our community. With MathPal, our bilingual tutors can bridge that gap, offering help to not only Hispanic families but also students from diverse backgrounds who need personalized support in math.

All of our classes are conducted remotely, allowing us to connect with students no matter their location. Currently, we do not offer group classes or in-person tutoring, but our online platform ensures interactive, engaging lessons with tools like virtual whiteboards, games, and exercises designed to enhance understanding and retention.
