Marty's On Park

I ordered for pickup on grub hub and was very pleasantly surprised by how quick the food was ready! I called the restaurant to check on time and they said it'd be ready in half the time grubhub stated. At the restaurant the person cooking was super pleasant and got the order done even faster. I got the brisket , and spicy chicken sandwich and both were great, simple but good, brisket was tender and moist, good pickles and soft potato bun, the chicken was great, very moist with a really crunchy coating the way a fried chicken sandwich should be. Old bay fries and homemade chips were also crunchy and tasty, I wouldn't mind more old bay seasoning, but that's minor, texture was right and thats more important. Overall I had a really great dining experience at Marty's on park. The restaurant itself is small so if you are coming with a lot of people it may be a little tight but the place itself was very cozy and had a lot of nice unique artwork. The food was very good, it had a lot of flavor and wasn't greasy which was great. The menu isn't very long but I felt there was a lot of diversity on it. Some people love dinosaur bbq some people love sticky lips. But honestly Marty's on Park has some reaallllllll delicious BBQ. I had the pulled pork plate and it was flavorful and delicious with jsut a nice char on the meat. I am only give them 4/5 stars because they were out of brisket which I was craving all day. Really good! Went on a Friday afternoon and was really impressed. Great service and great sandwich's. I got the "Frisket" wife got the chicken sandwich. .. she said it was very good. The frisket is a brisket sandwich with pickles and Marty's bbq sauce (which is awesome). Pickles were homemade and brisket was VERY tender and with a nice smoky flavor. French fries were awesome!!! Popped in for lunch on a Sunday for the first time. A bit confused at first since there's no menu on the wall, but we snagged a paper one from the checkout. Very reasonably priced! I ordered the Angry Bird which was super juicy with two thick slices of bacon, drizzled in their hot honey. I wish I asked for jalapenos because I like things very spicy! On this lazy Sunday afternoon, we didn't really want to go anywhere to eat as Marty's came to the rescue! With the country chicken sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak, all of our comfort food cravings were met. The meat was all very juicy and perfectly cooked! And despite delivery usually resulting in mildly soggy fried foods, the chicken was perfectly crisp, the chips snapped in a very satisfying way, and the fries were just as delicious as ever. And what's great is that for all this goodness, it wasn't breaking the bank. We will certainly be keeping this restaurant on our list of takeout places for our lazy nights! More...

Good burgers at Marty's. When I first moved into the Park Ave area, I was in the market for a decent burger. Looking at the Menu, I immediately went towards the "Big Rig" burger. My kids got the burgers and I got pulled pork. The beef was melt in your mouth delicious. My pulled pork had just the right amount of tans and sweetness.
