Mark was an absolute amazing magician to work with for my girlfriend's 29th birthday party. Mark is clearly a professional and loves what he does; his energy was infectious from first contact via the phone.

I won't give away any details of the show itself but we had a smaller group yet Mark adapted the show to something magical and intimate. He made the whole crowd feel involved and definitely brought the wow factor.

words really aren't going to work here--
you know when you take a crazy, exotic trip and come back and feel different and happier and just . ..a little more excited about life on this planet? And then someone calls and says "hey, how was your trip? tell me everything!" and you really want to, so you try, but you fall short and have to resort to the inadequate and frustratingly vague: "amazing, mind blowing, it was crazy, I gotta go back...!"
And yea, inside you know this is wrong, but you're not a writer and they just need to go and see it themselves. Nothing you say is going to reconcile what you saw and felt...and talking about it to someone who wasn't there. So you sigh, and tell them they just gotta do it cause there aren't enough emojis or ways to say you’re better off than you were.
Then you can all be in the club of people who have been there, who feel like that's something they'll remember forever, but who can't tell you exactly why...even the pictures are sort of blurry. Or there aren't any. Cause you forgot what phones were. Does this sound like an acid trip or someone talking about burning man? oof.
Look, you won't regret it. Booking Mark was impulsive. My boyfriend was turning 40 and I had done absolutely nothing except reserve the backroom at the Prince. Everyone kept saying "this is a VERY important birthday" but I procrastinated and worked too much and at midnight googled “magicians near me.” The next day, I bought a couple cakes, someone brought a couple balloons, and Mark walked through the door with a fireball. Then 30ish very cool looking artists/creatives/musicians/fashion-types (who make a living being judgmental and hot) said it was the best birthday party they had ever been to…they really wouldn’t stop. They seemed, quite frankly, in love with Mark.
I was toasted. I was repeatedly grabbed by the shoulders and told I had killed it. I was, for the first time in my life, considered the most thoughtful, generous, and sweetest girlfriend (knowing that less than 24 hours before I had one room and the hope they’d get drunk and my bf would take a raincheck.)
