I’ve been working Hector online for the last 2 years. He has provided me with detailed personalized exercise plans with set and rep expectations. He looks over exercise reports, asks questions and gives good feedback. He always answer my questions promptly. Every 8 weeks or so, he changes my workouts. He’s an excellent trainer who provides workouts that fit with my work schedule and fitness needs. In the past year I’ve loss weight, got much stronger and picked up more weight than ever. (Some exercises: 20 - 25 lbs more than last year). With his nutrition, fitness knowledge and support, I’ve grown to enjoy fitness and strength training more than ever. I had been looking for a personal trainer for at least a year before contacting Hector, but when I finally did I couldn’t believe I didn’t do it sooner. He is a fantastic trainer, as well as so personable and easy to chat/get along with. I think I’ve now been seeing him for a couple years, and I’ve made so much progress since the beginning. Very very easy going, and I would recommend him ten times over. For me, we focus on strength training and he checks out the workouts I do on my own through a fitness app and then, based on that, he plans the workout that I’ll do when we meet so that I get a full body workout. Before I started seeing him I had never really worked out before, and now I typically go three times a week and I’ve been able to achieve my goals: being able to run, having visible muscles, and developing a consistent routine of going to the gym. How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I help client's reach their fitness goals by providing safe, effective, efficient, and challenging workouts. After completing a Health History and Exercise History questionnaire, we discuss the client's fitness goals in detail so that we can create a realistic and attainable path to those goals.
What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?
There is no secret to getting the body of your dreams. The only path is through a disciplined and consistent approach utilizing proven workouts and a healthy nutrition plan.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love the most about my job is meeting people from a large variety of backgrounds with fitness goals that are just as varied. I love working with people who are motivated and can clearly visualize their goals as well as people who may be less confident and have a harder time visualizing their goals. No matter the client, when they reach their fitness goal whether it be getting to their goal weight or successfully completing a race, there is no better feeling for the client or for me as the trainer.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a child and teenager I was always active and played a variety of sports. Upon graduating from High School I enlisted in the US Army Infantry where I proudly served for 3 years. After completing my regular Army enlistment, I signed up for the CT National Guard where I served another 2 years. During my time in the National Guard, I worked full-time and attended Southern Ct State University Full-time. During this period I was constantly on the go and being a young man in my 20's, I didn't pay particular attention to my diet. Additionally during this period I got married and had twin boys. As with most people, family and work obligations took up a significant amount of my time and exercise just wasn't a priority. Slowly but surely the weight snuck up on me and I found myself heavier than ever and out of shape like never before. After not exercising for several years, I decided to start training again and attempted to run the standard 2 mile Army run I had done so many time before. However, after several years of inactivity I wasn't even able to run a mile. This was the moment I decided to get myself back in shape and began the process of reclaiming my health. After getting back in shape and falling in love with working out like never before, I found myself helping family, friends, and co-workers with diet and exercise advise. After helping two co-workers lose a combined 80 pounds I felt as if I'd found my calling and decided to get my Personal Training Certification.

Personal Training
I provide In-Home Personal Training in which I will bring all of the necessary equipment to your home. Training can include strength training, cardio training and flexibility training using a wide variety of equipment. I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, ACE Senior Fitness Specialist, and ACE Weight Management Specialist.
