Step 3, 4 Setup/Prepare

Before paint & stain:

Power washing is an important step in the preparation of exterior surfaces to ensure the cleanest surface to apply house paint. LIVE PAINTING painting services can use different types of power washing depending on your home and the type of job.

Power wash, scraping, sanding, primer where need, remove old caulking where it's loose, add new caulking, replace loose nails & 2 coats.

PROCESS STEPS:
1st. day:
1- Graining of the entire concrete surface.
2- Application of the basecoat and the textured flakes.
2nd. day: Application of varnish and texture (aluminum oxide.)




CONSIDERATIONS:
The concrete looks in good condition, salt erosion or further damage is not perceived, so the textured flake system is recommended.

APPLICATION OF THE SYSTEM OF TEXTURED FLAKES:

- 1st step:
Grind the entire concrete surface including the foundation (footing) to eliminate the concrete seal and possible unevenness in it.
-2nd step:
Vacuum the entire concrete surface thoroughly to remove all dust.
-3rd step:
Patch all the imperfections that the concrete has (cracks, holes), including the edges (joints between the foundation and the ground) to obtain a smooth surface.
- 4th. Step:
Application of the base epoxy paint plus the textured flakes, obtaining the self-leveling of the floor.
-5th. Step:
The next day: Scrape the entire surface where the textured flake was applied and remove the remaining flake, achieving a smoother appearance of the floor.
-6th Step:
Vacuum the entire surface to remove the flake particles that remain attached to the base layer.
-7th. Step:
Application of the last layer (clearcoat plus aluminum oxide). The aluminum oxide guarantees that the last layer of the floor is textured so as not to run the risk of accidents due to slips, thus obtaining a shiny but non-slippery surface... After the last application, it is advisable to wait 3 days so that the layers of epoxy dry completely, considering that the weather is colder now due to the autumn temperature (in summer the drying is faster 2 days).

The guarantee will depend on the state of the concrete. We will send a specialist to assess the warranty period that we can offer you. The guarantee may vary depending on the product- price that is affordable to the customer. We have different epoxy systems that can last from 3 to 7 years after application. This flooring system is moisture repellent (waterproof).

FLOOR CARE AND CLEANING: Water and detergent can be applied when required (Any type of detergent can be applied). NO CHLORINE OR ACIDS.
To move heavy things over the epoxy surface it is recommended to use a furniture cart if dragging heavy things could scratch the floor.
