Hiring Roman was the best thing I could have done for both my pup and me. I adopted my Monroe from a shelter where he had been for 4 months and previous to that, in a puppy mill living in a cage for 3+ years. . The poor little guy had horrible anxiety and I tried working with him for about 5 months and he wasn’t getting better. I went online and started researching training for him and spoke to a few people and I decided to meet with Roman. I hired him right away and what a game changer. We just finished our 5th visit and Monroe is well on his way to living a very happy dog life. He would never eat during the day, only once I went to sleep. Now he eats when the food goes down morning and evening. His walks were stressful for both of us. Now we have structured walks that are productive and his anxiety is getting less and less. Watching the progress and changes is so exciting. He’s a different dog in just 5 weeks. He still has a ways to go to really perfect all the trainings but we are on the way. Roman is fills accessible by text and phone to offer advice and help. He is an amazing trainer I just wish I hired sooner!!! We hired Lerner and Pooch to help train our new male Bichon Frise puppy. As cute as he is, our Bichon was nipping our children, going potty all over the house, grazing his food and pulling his leash during walks. Roman’s structured dog training program helped transform our puppy into a contributing member of the family who understands that we are his leaders. He now follows training commands and crate commands, eats on command, is much better with potty time, and is great on walks. Overall, he has developed good dog etiquette. I have a frenchie and he jumped on everyone and pulled my arm off every time we went outside. It was really exhausting physically and emotionally so my husband and I searched high and low and after watching the videos online we hired Roman at Lerner and Pooch. I can't believe I actually found a company that caters to small dogs! I had tried a few other companies including the pet store and a trainer that came to my house for a lot of money until he got annoyed with me. I'm ashamed to say I gave up until my apartment complex told me that my dog was the reason I would not be able to renew my lease.
