We needed a bus for a group of 40 people or so, traveling from Torrance to Big Bear for drop off and then pick up two days later. The price was really reasonable compared to other prices listed out there. Communication was fair. My husband had considered a larger bus option initially but was told that a small one would do. As it turns out, a number of high value and delicate items had to be brought into the passenger area despite the fact that my husband took photos of all the stage equipment they had to bring with them, before booking and even the day they came and were told that the smaller bus would be fine. As a result, each time they loaded the bus, they essentially had to Tetris luggage and stage equipment into a much-too-small compartment. But for the price? You can't beat the price. We would definitely use them again, but advise that you always go with your gut feeling and demand the larger bus if you're bringing many people and many large, high value items. More...

After May 20th, Gene did return my call, apologizing for the delay. NEEDBUSCHARTER has since compensated us in full for the pick-up trip, and offered to do more, but I requested just a refund for the trip to the airport since the return trip home was fine.

I connected with Gene after my youngest was part of a homecoming party bus and booked him for my twins prom. We were originally going to be 6 for the booking but a 7th was added, which meant we had to go to a larger vehicle. Gene was amazing. He detailed out all options for us and was extremely helpful. The van showed up exactly on time and the driver prior to arrival reached out with his eta. He was driving 7 girls. I outlined with them prior all the guidelines and options for them when it came to post the after party. The company was extremely flexible. The kids had the option to each be dropped off at their own homes if they met the end time we had contracted the van for. If we wanted to go longer that was an option as well. The kids chose to go back to the starting location and everything was perfect. The girls communicated with the driver asking how much time he would like warming for him to pick them up at the prom. They said everything was easy and they most importantly were safe the entire evening. I can't say enough as a mother how comforted I was knowing they were safe. I always stay up until my kids are home. I was so exhausted from prom prep at the house I fell asleep early and woke after they were scheduled to come home. Excellent Charter Bus Company! I found this company when I started a project request on Yelp. I had many respond but found Gene at Need Bus Charter to be very professional (I had some companies pestering me by email and even by phone! ). This company has stellar reviews as well, and that was my decision to try them out! Gene was prompt to get quotes out. We were unsure of the size we would need by the time we had our group's headcount. Gene was very flexible and allow up to upgrade if needed. We ended up going with a 35 passenger executive bus. It was very clean and comfortable. All seats had seatbelts. The Dispatch was easy to work with. We had our driver's name and contact number the evening before pick up. Our drive, Alexander, was excellent, easy to contact (between stops) and very patient with our loading/unloading. We definitely plan to use them again for our next excursion. This was such a pleasant and seamless experience arranging the party bus limo for our wedding day. Thanks to finding deals to compare on Yelp and having a quick consultation with Gene, I was able to reserve our bus for the big day in a matter of half an hour. I don't normally decide such big moves on a whim but after reading the positive reviews and talking to Gene, I felt comfortable going forward with this. We had a 14-person limo with 9 people and it was cozy but comfortable. We were so happy with our experience and our patient and very friendly driver. I've had a WONDERFUL experience with Need Bus Charter! I highly recommend this company and can only hope people stumble across it just like I have. I booked a twenty eight passenger party bus for my friends' and mine valentines day party. It was amazing! The bus was great and super spacious. I loved the ambiance that the interior created and so did all of my friends. To start off, prices were unbelievably affordable. At first I was a little suspicious due to the low pricing, but I am very glad I gave Need Bus Charter a chance! Gene answered all my calls and questions in a timely manner. I really enjoyed using Need Bus Charter for my birthday. They made it so easy to book and pricing was reasonable. The driver arrived on time and he was great! We booked a sprinter to take us to Medieval Times and really enjoyed the whole ride there and back. The sprinter itself was pristine. It honestly looked brand new! Very disappointed in our experience. My first conversation with the owner, Gene, went well and everything seemed like it was going to be great for our school trip. However, after the initial conversation (2.5 weeks before the desired trip), I had to make multiple calls to get the quote days later. I had also requested an addendum to the insurance and received no response about that update for a week. Their email was totally non-responsive, the voice mail was full, and texts were never returned. The few times we spoke on the phone, I was always promised a prompt result or update, which never happened. Eventually, I am now in a scramble to find buses for 100 people because of their refusal to respond and communicate in a professional, timely manner. I have sympathy when there's so much going on, but they did not live up to the expectations they set and have left us in a terrible situation because of it. More...

Okay, I usually don't write negative reviews on Yelp, but I feel for seniors who are about to have their prom this is important for you to know! Overall, planning everything with this company for prom day was great it felt secure and organized. The owner of this company was very kind and friendly explaining everything to me on the phone about prices, payments, and building a schedule for the day. So the day of prom (May 14th, 2022) came and our driver was cool! He arrived on time and we decided to take some pictures before we headed out and he was kind enough to wait patiently in the bus. We get in the bus and everything's great we go to our first location which was the park to take pictures then we headed to our prom venue. The actual bus itself was clean, music played perfectly at our own desired volume, everything went as planned! Then we leave prom and start to head home... we were not too far from our drop off location, but probably 10-15 minutes away... and our car just shuts down. My friends and I were so confused and a little weary because we pulled up to a dark street that was pretty empty- and when we asked the driver what was going on he didn't respond until the third or fourth time. I'm sure he was just panicking a little bit, but this made us nervous as a couple teens in a dark street. The man soon gets out the van and calls his boss and tells us that the car just lost power. At that point we decided to call our parents to get a ride home because our replacement was going to take 30+ to arrive at our location so we didn't even bother. Although this wasn't the drivers fault it was still a mess and our prom night didn't run smoothly as planned... I believe this can happen to anyone not just with this company because cars have problems and that's understandable. However, the next day my friends mom called the owner of Need Bus Charter and he had no idea what we were talking about as if nothing happened. I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between the drivers boss and Need Bus Charter or what the connection was there but it felt like a mess. We honestly just wanted a partial refund because we weren't granted what we paid for and it was chaotic. I'm very thankful for my friends mom for taking the refund responsibility because I was honestly tired of it all. Anyway.. things got sorted out but mind you we had our prom on May 14th, 2022 and we didn't get a partial refund until August 2022. To sum this up, I think the process of planning prom, payments, scheduling, etc. with this company went well. But to execute what we paid for they didn't do so well and even the refund process was extremely long. So to this company make sure your cars are all checked out and ready to use for any day, especially a special day such as prom!! AMAZING SERVICE! Need Bus Charter provided transportation for my wedding this July. We had about 100 guests going from Westlake Village to Malibu, and then about 30 people in our bridal party going from Santa Rosa Valley to Malibu. Gene was EXTREMLEY helpful planning out the logistics for the trip. We had several phone calls to work out the details, he was always readily available via text and/or call. You can tell Gene cares about his customers and really wants to create the best experience for them. I really felt like I was taken care of during the planning process. He suggested sprinters instead of big buses for the guests, as the sprinter could more easily drive through the canyons and would be a much shorter trip. Something I would have never considered! The buses arrived early and all trips to and from went seamlessly perfect. The drivers were professional and the sprinters were clean and comfy.
