We hired K. Moderne Interior Design for our master bathroom remodel. Karrington and his team were extremely accommodating to our wants/needs, and had exceptional customer service throughout the entire process. At one point, Karrington drove 3 hours to Knoxville to pick up shower tile that was unavailable in Nashville so we wouldn't have a 2-3 day delay in the project timeline. The team walked us through what had been done each evening, and what their plan was for the next day. What’s your interior design process?
We like to set up an initial meeting with the client to learn as much about them as possible. Their preferences, how they generally operate within their space, their lifestyle, all of these things are important to the concept portion of the design process. From there, we then compile the information supplied be the client and render and comprehensive 3D model of their space to scale, complete with all communicated desires and finished, alongside plans for how their space will be transformed. Following that and any necessary modifications, we then begin the scheduling and implementation process of bringing to fruition that which was rendered into the client's space.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We cater to all styles, including that of traditional, modern, farmhouse, contemporary, rustic, mid century, minimalistic, and industrial!
What do you love most about your job?
What we love most at K. Moderne is the opportunity to be able to bring vision to life. Taking something incorporeal such as a clients vision for a space and transforming it into something concrete that evokes unparalleled emotion each time they enter that space.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired to become a designer by the predicated stigma that interior designers and luxury goods and services were reserved only for people who had money and the means to acquire them. My inspiration also came not only from my personal liking and desire of opulent high end spaces but from the desire to remove the price barrier that has for so long discriminated and determined who has access luxury quality and service.
