Sorry, not impressed. The kids mac and cheese was dry and barely edible. The Hot chick wrap was literally so wet we couldn't even eat the wrap part because it was soaked and disgusting. The Southern Chopped salad was good, but not "chopped" at all or what i would expect for the description. Gumbo Yaya was definitely not authentic or even decent, we ate about half. We ate here today for our first time.... I had the platter with pit beans and potato salad. Potato salad was mustard and egg variety. .. not too wet and not too dry, nice balance... personal preference would be to add sweet relish to it... that's just a personal preference. Pit Beans had some kick to them, but again nice balance sweet to heat. Dry rub ribs with nice flavor, perfect cook. Pulled pork nice flavor and bark, perfectly cooked. House sausage was jalapeno, cheddar in natural casing. Pleasant taste and chew with some heat on the back side. Last night we went to K Block's Fire Pit BBQ in Washington twp & OMG it was outstanding. We had 6 different apps & gumbo - ALL were so good. I highly recommend the shrimp & grits especially for those who hate grits, you will change your mind! We highly recommend K-Block’s! We had them cater our daughter’s wedding last weekend and the food and service was amazing! Mel was our contact from the beginning and was always available (and SO accommodating) whenever we reached out. On the day of the wedding, Mel and her helper (I’m sorry, I don’t remember his name, but he was great!) arrived nice and early and had everything set up perfectly. They kept a close watch on the food and we never ran low on any item. After dinner, they took care of every part of clean up, too! Our 1st time ordering & the LAST TIME as well!! We DO NOT recommend this place at all!! *****1st issue - We only ordered a beef brisket dinner & a pulled pork sandwich & they were aw! They told me that the brisket dinner came with a corn bread & 1 side so my husband ordered a coleslaw & I said I’d pay extra for the baked beans. It DID NOT COME WITH ANY corn bread or coleslaw but they did remember the beans! *****2nd issue - The pulled pork sandwich had barely any meat & their bun was old & stale! I asked for a side of potato salad & it wasn’t great! I also asked to try a piece of corn bread which of course I had to pay extra. The corn bread is approximately 1 inch x 1 inch so it’s NOT WORTH PAYING for one!!! ******My husband picked this up after golf (we do not live that close) so I tried to call the manager. A rude employee came back to the phone to tell me he’s toooooo busy packing a catering order!!! WHAT A CRYING SHAME TO NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE that our $40+ order was messed up!! Our waitress Diana did a wonderful job explaining the menu and helping us figure out what to try. The Brisket Ruben was awesome, and the Piggy Mac was spectacular. We decided to try this place with some friends after we saw a billboard for it and it was great! Friendly staff, fun atmosphere and the food was delicious! Worse place First time there. Ordered carry out my fries were soggy. Online jumbo says comes with shrimp and sausage when we got our food the jumbo had one Piece of meat and come to find out it’s chicken their menu online is wrong! Then I call and ask to speak to a manger Natalie decides to put a faker manger on the phone and the lady that probaly is just a waitress answers and argues with me and says their is nothing she can do and when I ask for her name she hung up on me!
