It was a pleasure working with Monique. She transformed "my room" from a mix-match of furnishings, photos and souvenirs into a sublime retreat with floating shelves, tasteful displays and splashes of color. The window treatment was beyond my imagination; a gentle swag of sheer material softened the room and added a spark of glamour. JRML did a stellar job helping us maintain the exterior integrity of our 1918 home. They were able to secure superior materials and labor within our budget, oversaw the job from start to finish and were a delight to work with. We completely redid the exterior of the home with cedar shake, replaced the guttering, as well as gave the porch a facelift with a durable concrete surface. The job was conducted in a timely manner and Jon always made sure that the subcontractors showed up on time and cleaned up the work space at the end of each day. JRML designed a house for us, and later designed a kitchen for us. Our goal was to build a 3,500 sf house that took advantage of the view, sun and maximized the value of the property. We had only one or two small change orders, the plans were complete and detailed. We built at the peak of the market, and when we decided to sell four years later, we sold it without putting it on the market and it still came out ahead. ( 814 Close Ave. VB) They later designed a kitchen in our new house, we decided to live in the house during construction, which started to wear on us in the final weeks of the remodel. Monique's eye for design is fantastic and Jon's ability to solve the architectural issues is extremely professional.
