Wedding Photography

On your wedding day, the last thing you should be worried about is being in front of the camera. That’s where I come in! It’s my job to make you feel relaxed and comfortable, have a ton of fun and enjoy this amazing day with your partner. My goal is to blend in as much as possible, helping you get the true feel of your wedding day when looking back on your photos. Years later you can look at a single image from this day and know the exact feeling you had when it was taken. Whether it’s the deep love you and your partner have for each other, the absolute blast you had with all your family and friends being together, or the quiet moments you had with a family member before the ceremony.
My goal is not to just take photos of you and your significant other, deliver a gallery, and never be in contact with you again. I strive to meet your expectations and beyond.
As your wedding photographer, I will be with you from start to finish. After your gallery is delivered I’m there to help you with ordering prints and creating wedding albums, or special memory boxes for your photos.

Engagement sessions are a great way for all of us to get to know one another. The more time we spend together the more comfortable we get and the more laughs we’ll have. This also helps the day of the wedding for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera and for me to blend into the crowd in your mind. Instead of some random stranger with a camera at your wedding; it’s just Jake taking pictures for us. I like to think of posing and prompting my couples like the corney game we used to play as kids where you have to tell someone how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and the person has to do exactly what you tell them in the most literal sense of how it was said. The fun with the engagement session is we all learn how “literal” we take or don’t take things to get the best shots possible.
Family Photography
Family photo sessions are so much fun! Many people think of family photo sessions with dread or stress. As a photographer, I aim to take all that dread and stress off your shoulders. I want us all to have a fun memorable time. I try to help everyone relax and feel like you and your family are just spending time together and enjoying each other’s company. This allows us to get the most authentic smiles, laughs, and love between your family. As your family photographer, I’m here to help from the moment you book your session to ordering prints and beyond. When it comes to commercial photography I strive to capture the culture of your business and the uniqueness of your products that make it stand apart from your competitors. Whether it’s the little touches you add to your cake pops or the uniqueness of your logos and shirt designs. From the moment I arrive at your shoot, I begin by talking to you, your employee, and/or models to get to know how they view and envision the company and the photo session.

Graduation Photography
Graduation photos have been an absolute blast for me! I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I have twin boys of my own and see this time in your child’s life as such a major milestone or the fact that these kids are about to step into adulthood and I get the privilege to document this monumental time in their lives. I try to always incorporate something special or significant to the graduate in every session. I’ve done shoots with their cars, on the football field, at their church on stage playing guitar, and at the fire station for explorers. These photos are such a great way for us as parents to have a lasting memory of our children before we send them off into the world to become the people we have raised them to be
