The lay-Lo team was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Our trainer Shannon gave us SOOOO much good advice and our 1 yr old pup’s attention skills and loose leash walking is improving every day!

My rescue pup really struggles with reactivity to people entering the house. We've been working with Karen for a few months and I have learned SO much. Karen taught me to rhink like my dog, to protect her peace, and that training is bonding. I am so grateful -- she is a wonderful teacher. Tracy worked with my mini dachsie and I for several weeks. She was patient, kind and effective! Both Lizzie and I enjoyed our time during the sessions, but we are enjoying our time together so much more as Tracy taught not only skills, but how to have fun with each other.

Lay Lo is amazing! Loved that everything was virtual. It made it so easy to schedule our weekly sessions around our busy schedules. It also made it so much easier to jump right into training since our dogs weren’t working directly with a stranger, which was one of the concerns we had. With the main training sessions, check in sessions, worksheets, reference videos and documents, and text support we were provided with more than enough material and support to help our dogs have a happier life. this was such a great way to get the necessary training for our puppy. we came in with direct requests for training, and they tailored a plan for us! they also helped us address other issues as they popped up. there’s a whole team working with our puppy and family, and we were basically able to get around the clock help! the virtual option is the only way to go in my opinion, especially since my pup was timid around other dogs so group training would’ve been counterproductive. i will recommend this company to ANYONE that gets a pup, and any future pups we get will work with this company too! thanks so much shannen and nicole!! I loved working with Erin and her training of my Staffy Pit Wendi. Wendi came to me with a lot of baggage, and Erin helped me turn Wendi around. Wendi now sits by the door before going out (she used just to run out as fast as she could, which got her into a great deal of trouble with the neighbors). Homeschool by LayLo has training experts with extraordinary skills for coaching owners to train dogs. In addition to logged recaps of recorded sessions, we had access to training videos, printouts and a library to enhance a lifelong journey with our dogs after graduation. Extra perks are generous and there for the taking.

We were paired with Tracy, a calm, gentle and patient sensitive anxiety expert whose pleasant disposition brought out the best of Petey and me. “Team Petey” offered comments as I posted notes and videos of our homework prior to sessions with Tracy.

His excessive reactivity and anxiety after the loss of our 13 year old dog had become concern for our personal safety in the car and at home.

Tracy’s weekly sessions have greatly dimmed Petey’s separation anxiety, car rides, vet visits and being around new people. We are enjoying his new course of becoming quiet and laid back, and will continue training him using the skills Tracy gifted us.

Tracy was a great coach and was always eager and excited to train Christine n I. My biggest fear with Bandit was that he wouldn’t pick up the training but Tracy started us small and worked up to bigger things. Bandit is easier to control and much less reactive. We were at our limit with our 12 year old mini poodle. He had become so grouchy and difficult. He frightened our other two dogs and we were unable to take care of him. After working with Tracy JC is happy and plays nicely with the other two dogs. Tracy is patient and was great at helping us read JC’s body language. We learned he needed pain management. Working with Nicole and LAYLO was an excellent experience. I don't know what we would've done without having Nicole in our corner, during our first weeks with our rescue pup. Training with Morgan was great. I have PTSD, from a Coyote attacking & killing my dog last Christmas. His name was Riley. I then adopted another dog, from a shelter, 3 weeks later . His name is Bentley. Bentley is chihuahua/terrier mix and was 18 months old. Bentley was very scared but also very sweet and cute. I signed up with Laylo because they taught positive reinforcement, took payments and offered one on one training via video on Zoom. Morgan was my fabulous trainer. Morgan listened to me tell her about the issues I was experiencing with Bentley, such as growling at anyone who tried to pet him. Then Bentley started coming at people and pulling on their pant legs with his teeth. I set up our bedroom as his safe space room and installed a doggy gate . Bentley is so relaxed in his room, now. Bentley can interact with a visiting dog buddy but no toys or treats. This is working out well. Bentley is slowly learning to play and even lets some of the dogs humans pet him, but under the chin, only. Morgan was very therapeutic about my situation and would tell me if I was having a reaction to a trigger, just like Bentley. I’m now able to really calm myself down, quickly, once I realize I’m reacting. Morgan is a professional dog trainer who trains humans to better understand their dog’s unique situation. I work with Bentley every day. We do 4 or 15 minute sessions and Bentley thinks we’re just having fun. Thank you, Morgan. Our pug Bella had a very rough upbringing and we don't know a lot about her background. She was very skiddish of me and once we started training it took a while for her to come around. She needed some doggy meds to make her little brain not overload all the time. It took all of 6 weeks before we started seeing really good things and she's being a more confirmable dog around me.

We have two dogs who were not get along, and go crazy when guests are over, and this has created some challenging situations. While it may seem like virtual behavior training for dogs would not be successful, we realized that working with the dogs in our own home, was a great way for Emily to observe the dogs in their most relaxed, and un-relaxed, states. While we did not have one "Aha" moment, we learned a lot about our dogs, their interactions, and many useful tools to help them co-exist. At the end of our 7 sessions, the dogs are comfortable in the same room for much of the day, and we have the tools to continue working with them to increase their comfort levels even more.
