After reading great reviews, I decided to call and book an appointment. I called on a Saturday and got me in the very next day for a therapeutic massage. I had been in SEVERE back pain for about a week after throwing my back out. When I called, the receptionist reassured me that they have delt with this problem plenty of times, and made me feel so hopeful they would be able to help me. When I came into my appointment the check-in pricess was great, they took a thorough medical history. When I was taken into the room the massage therapist took the time to talk to me and explain everything to me on how she was going to help me. She showed me all the amazing essential oils she was going to use. The massage was amazing. My back pain was practically gone during the massage and I honestly feel that it cut down on my recovery time. Will keep coming back. 100 percent!! Wish I found this place 5 years ago. Wow! This place was such a great find. (Thanks Yelp!) I was in desperate and I mean DESPERATE need of some massage therapy for my neck, shoulders, and back. I called and Carol was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. After asking several questions she concluded that the Cranial Massage would be the best solution for the pain I was experiencing. I was hesitant at first as I didn't think I needed any part of my scalp worked on, but agreed so that I could be seen ASAP.First of all, I am SO thankful that Carol recommended the treatment of a Cranial Massage. I had no clue that you could have knots in your head! My headache was relieved instantly!!! It shows that they truly care about what your needs are and fulfilling them!Secondly, how the massage is only $35 is seriously too-good-to-be-true! That was almost a deterrent for me, like, why is it so cheap?! But, shhhh don't tell them that because I'd like it to stay that way so I can go all the time (maybe that's the explanation right there! ha!)Lastly, HENRY HENRY HENRY. Walking into this lil corner of Modesto is like walking into Narnia. As soon as you enter from the busy street off Needham it is incredibly peaceful. As I was being walked around I was surprised at how big it was because from the outside it looks so small. I have had probably about 3 massages in my life so this was a whole new thing for me. So far in the past two months I have had two massages with Corinne, I see this will be a regular monthly routine of mine now! I added the hot atones the first time and it felt so amazing! This is a little piece of perfection in downtown. I just had a 90 minute therapeutic massage with Henry. I am so impressed with his skill and knowledge of the body. He is very communicative about his plan of attack for your muscles. I felt so relaxed and at ease. Helping Hands is a wonderful place for healing massage and aromatherapy! I was recently in Modesto for a few months, taking care of some very stressful family business. Super friendly staff! I came in for a much-needed cranial massage and Corinna definitely did not disappoint. She walked me through the whole process before we proceeded with anything. It had been a while since I was last here and that was only for a facial which I loved. My hubby bought me a gift certificate for Xmas and I was excited to have a spa day. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a esthetician at the time, but stuff happens. My appt with Ellen was amazing. I have been suffering from lower back pain & si joint pain for almost a year know i was soo scared for any one to touch me i had helping hands massage number for months in my phone, when i got the si joint inflammation pain ooh my god horrible pain ever i called & carol was absolutely amazing she heard my story & set me up with Henrey she also gave me tips to do at home for relaxing & inflammation. Words cannot explain how much I absolutely love this spa! I have been to different spas in La Jolla, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, and a resort in Mexico. .. NONE are attentive and so welcoming! I have gotten a cranial, oil scalp massage, and now scheduled for a prenatal massage. I was helping a friend plan something special for his fiancee. I called and spoke to Carol and I asked LOTS of questions. She was VERY helpful . I can't remember the name of the package that I made reservations for, but it was a combination of 4 services. On the day of our appointment, Carol called me to let me know that due to unforseen circumstances one of the services wouldn't be available. She could have easily waited to tell me after arriving for our appointment, but she let me know a few hours in advance. I appreciated that she did that even taking a chance that I'd cancel the appointment. Then I had a problem and was running a little late. I'm in love! This place is amazing.  My shoulder Was killing me.  On a scale of 1 - 10 my pain was at 15.  It hurt to breathe and I could barely move it.  Hours before having to be at work I was stressed and scrolled through Google for help.  I came across helping hand and remember it I sent my fiance here for his birthday maybe 3-4 years ago.  I called and explained how much pain I was in and they were able to squeeze me in.  My masseuse was Henry who was beyond amazing.  He was really nice and was able to read what was wrong with my muscles and what he needed to do to help me.  After leaving I couldn't stop thinking how nice everyone is at Helping Hands.  They really saved me that day. I was able to go to work for 12 hours and it seems like my shoulder just kept feeling better.  I'm so excited to continue going here and trying the other services they have to offer. I rarely leave a Yelp review of a place until I've utilized their services more than once (to get an accurate picture of how the business is truly conducted), but this place was too great to not say something positive about. The owner who scheduled me was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The massage therapist was very professional, and gave me some good information about what could possibly be causing my headaches. They weren't trying to upsell either. His solution wasn't "more massages." He told me that the way I describe my headaches, what I really need to do is get an eye exam. I came here after 3 weeks post opt with needed plastic surgery and I've been having a lot of issues with swelling and pain  post opt . I had their lymphatic drainage massage that's recommended after surgery , the only regret I have is not coming here sooner I could avoided 2 weeks of pain and being uncomfortable. I walked out feeling like I never had surgery . One day later and feeling way better and able to actually use my arms and clean my house . I called today to be seen for a therapeutic massage and they got me in less than two hours later. Once you walk inside it smells amazing of aromatherapy oils and there is water with lemon while you wait. I was massaged by Ellen today and although she is tiny her hands work like magic and eased away a lot of my tension and when I left my shoulders had dropped. This place is amazing. I have lived in the bay and other cities, and I don't know too many places that is consistently as good as this place. Claremont spa in Berkeley comes to mind, but this place is a lot more affordable for sure. I like firm massage and I usually don't care about ambience, but this place got both. All the masseuse are really good, and the place is clean and has a very calming atmosphere with nice little touches like aroma therapy selections and herb tea at the entrance.  I had Jennifer for 90min massage and it was really good, though I would loved it more if she could work the knots more.
