Coach Kenny is phenomenal. He really pushes his clients so they can go to the next level. He is patient and puts in the time to ensure success in his clients. My daughter will not workout at home. Despite the hard work she has to do when she gets to her sessions she is always ready and willing to go put in the work. Coach Kenny makes it a challenge so it doesn’t seem like work. If there were more stars I'd give them. I've always been an active person, but repeated injuries have kept me on the sidelines. The ergonomics of my day job had created some serious issues and I needed someone who could identify and fix them. One-size-fits-all workouts were not getting it done for me, and I needed something tailored to strengthening my weaknesses as opposed to compensating with my strengths. I got far more than I expected with Kenny. It's not just about getting in shape with Kenny, it becomes a process of getting to know yourself, strengthening your mind via strengthening your body. No workout is the same, every day is a challenge. You'll perform innovative unilateral movements one day, barbell lifts the next, agility ladders, box jumps, it just hits the whole spectrum. A simple resistance band has never looked so challenging! I have gone from fitness being an afterthought to sports, to fitness becoming the priority. To be honest, I was never a woman who wanted to or enjoyed working out. For years I was on a journey to lose weight and get fit, which I tried EVERYTHING and was unsuccessful. Meeting Dr. Kenneth Wright changed my life. He didn't remind me of past trainers who were intimidating and screamed at you thinking they were motivating you. He was kind, compassionate, took an interest in my health goals and meeting them was his priority. His workouts were at a pace that was comfortable and motivating. Kenny also eased me into challenging workouts that constantly surprised my physical abilities. He was very encouraging and had a "You can do it" attitude that made me strive to meet my fitness goals. His flexibility was impressive; if I couldn't make it to the gym for any reason, he will text/email me a workout to do at home. Not only was he a personal trainer but he was an accountability partner. He participated in the workouts with me as well as supported me with intermittent fasting or a 10 Day Smoothie Cleanse. My results mattered to him and his dedication and commitment were appreciated. I have and am continuing to lose weight and I have gained not only muscles but my confidence back. Before I started training in the Spring of 2010, I would never have considered myself an athlete. I never imagined that I, a scientist, would step into the ring and compete. Towards the end of the summer of 2011, Coach Jason Farrell, then at Crazy 88, asked if I wanted to train a little harder and compete in sparring exhibitions. At the time I was very insecure with my striking abilities even after training for over a year, but Coach Jason believed I was ring ready and that the experience would help me grow. He was right!

Its 2018 now and for the last 8 years we've been competing up and down the east coast and all over the world. We've fought nationally: Virginia, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. Training at Level up has even taken me to fight in Mexico, Spain, Italy, and even Belarus! Up next is Canada. As coach Jason puts it, “We just keep chipping away everyday...Its a never ending experiment.”

In the last 8 years, Coach Jason has dedicated thousands of hours of instruction, coaching, and mentoring. What I like most about working with him is that he will work even more than I train to get me ready for a competition. If I’m at the gym training, he is also there coaching and helping me get better. Outside the gym, Jason is always watching tape and will send me footage fights to study.

I have been a spectator and participant at numerous boxing and kickboxing events and it’s a fact that Coach Jason’s students have the best striking skills. My goals right now are to continue to develop my striking skills and become professional athlete while working my scientist job full time. I’m so confident that I will keep on making more goals and achieving them under Coach Jason Farrell at Level Up.

Id give it a 4.5 ☆ Solid gym. Great facility. Professional. Organized. They have a good system in place. I reccomend it for Novice and Mid Level fighters. It seems to be more Kickboxing centric than traditional Boxing. They also have a great H.I.I.T. work out. I believe they call it "Befit". More...

I started coming here just about a year ago. Other gyms really made me feel unwelcomed as a newbie. I was pretty self-conscious about slowing down classes and just felt generally unwanted at these gyms. .. like I was a burden. I take my physical fitness very seriously, so why would I waste my time at these places if they weren't going to show me any form of respect? So far, I have experienced nothing but patience from the other fighters and coaches alike. When I couldn't hold the pads right, the coaches showed me how. When I couldn't throw a punch right, the pad holder didn't get frustrated, they corrected me. Even when I felt like I just wasn't picking up Boxing, the coaches and managers helped to motivate me and keep me engaged. In just under a year, I've improved drastically in my BJJ and Boxing. It's a very dedicated but friendly atmosphere. You really do feel like your membership means something. This is a real fighter's gym, not whatever other gyms pass off as boxing (but is really Zumba with gloves). I'm still far from where I want to be, but I feel like I'm slowly but surely improving every time I walk out. More...

I found level up in August of 2014 because I wanted to box and lose weight. I looked at many options nearby, walked into level up first since it was relatively close and decided this was the place I wanted to be. I love this place it's a great environment to learn and work out in. I have been coming to this gym for 3 years and will continue to do so until I no longer can. Anybody can tell you to do a few exercises or look up a workout on youtube and say that they've trained you. Instead, I help clients achieve their fitness goals by educating them on why they are doing certain exercises, how they address your goals and design a fitness program tailored to meet their needs and interests. I start with a pre-fitness assessment to identify muscle imbalances and design a progressive exercise regimen to achieve your goals. It's a total approach to fitness, pushing you to bring your best effort, teaching you how to fuel your body, monitoring your progress, and helping you realize you're stronger than you think!

There really is no secret. Success is defined by you! So I always start with making sure you can answer two questions: What is your goal and Why is this goal important to you. Once you have those answers, the key is helping you stay focused and consistent on the path to success!
