I could not have been more impressed with Rich and the work he did for us. He turned an worn, nearly destroyed old chaise lounge into an absolutely stunning piece of furniture. (See our before and after pictures!) He was so accommodating to our schedule and actually dropped off several fabric books at our house so we could take out time choosing something. I recently had the cushions of a sofa I have had for over 10 years 're-stuffed'.  The couch which is still stylish and in good shape still has years left on it.  However, the cushions were not firm and one could really notice the physical strain on your lower back.  I was referred to Galaxy Upholstery to have the cushions refurbished.  I went, got a reasonable estimate and the cushions were returned in far, far superior shape.  Loved what they did, firm but not hard which translates into a comfortable and ergonomically sound piece of furniture.  The cost was a reasonable and after all I did not have to buy a new couch.  They turned my cushions around in 2 days.  I was very pleased with the end product.  I highly recommend their services. Had Galaxy Upholstery reupholster several couches and misc. chairs in the office a few years ago and they also did custom wooden blinds for all of the windows. They did a GREAT JOB and are truly amazing at the work they do. We were so happy with the furniture they reupholstered in the office, that we decided to have them reupholster our sofa and loveseat at home, which led to new drapery and custom cornices for our Front Room and Dining Room. We just had them refinish and recane our Dining Room chairs for the Holiday they are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. They look better than new! We have gotten so may compliments on our furniture and many of our friends have had their furniture reupholsterd by Galaxy also, and they too were very happy. After talking with Rich, The Owner, he told me that they don't just reupholster furniture, they make custom cornices and headboards, custom drapery and blinds, patio furniture, and they even reupholster boats, waverunners, motorcycle seats!!We couldn't be HAPPIER with Galaxy's work, they are truly talented! I've been comparing different upholstery companies in the area for more than six months and could not decide which one to hire for my antique projects because I wanted the best quality of work possible and the good price. I am a perfectionist and I could not settle for less than perfect so I searched until I found it!! The GALAXY UPHOLSTERY in Berwyn (another office in Orland Park) was what I was looking for sooooo long. After I spoke with the owner and saw their work in the shop I was confident they are the best in Chicago area!!!The owner came to my home, saw the two pieces I wanted to fix and explained the whole process to me. He even helped me choose the right fabric for my antique sofa and leather for the antique loveseat so they will not lose anything from their original charm. They also offered me the lowest price I've been offered in the last few months. I was very happy about that but I was ecstatic when I saw my two antique sofas delivered to me. They were/are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I'm beyond excited that I chose Galaxy Upholstery because they are the BEST!!! True craftsmanship in every detail!!! I love my sofas now, they look beautiful, the room looks spectacular because of them and I receive lots of complements from people who visit us. Galaxy Upholstery is exceptional in the quality of their service and workmanship. The owners are friendly, helpful and willing to give suggestions. They take their time completing the work, and you will be amazed when they deliver your newly reupholstered furniture. Just beautiful.
