Free Range is an acoustic/bluegrass duo. Matt plays banjo and dobro, Claire plays guitar. They sing and play a variety of acoustic music -- from Bill Monroe and Merle Haggard to Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, John Prine and Miranda Lambert. And we specialize in performing music that's fun, entertaining and makes people happy.

What do you love most about your job?
Matt and Claire love playing music together -- at home, in the park, at farmers markets, wherever. And we love to play for other people. We love seeing their faces light up when they recognize songs they know, or when they hear the banjo close up for the first time, or when they hear two voices in harmony. We love to meet new people and see toddlers dancing to our music.
