I’ve worked with Katie to better my physical health. Not only does she take the time to work with me on the exercise portion, but also adds in work on mobility. Katie also took the initiative to work on my nutrition as well, what’s the old saying…you can’t out work a bad diet. Katie is the most skilled and most caring trainer you could ever hope to find. She makes everyone look their absolute best, but more than that, she makes it fun and always explains things clearly and with confidence. When I was going through some health issues, she sent me easy workouts I could follow using my phone. I felt so strong and powerful. I even took my 12 year old son to Katie, because I wouldn’t trust anyone else to create good form and good habits so that he will fall in love with working out. So far, he loves his first couple weeks of weight training. She took the time to do research and tailor his regimen to him specifically, because he plays baseball and wants to gain arm strength and speed. I can’t recommend her highly enough! Katie was my trainer for over 2 years, during which time I met my all fitness goals (weight loss, toning, overall learning about health, nutrition, & fitness)! She was a great place to start since I had zero experience in correct diet or exercise so she introduced me to several different tools (my fitness pal, Bodpod, body measurements) to track goals and progress. She also personally tailored all of my workouts to what I needed & kept them fun and interesting enough to keep me invested in those first few months while I was building the habit of working out at all. After my initial goals were met we moved into a “maintenance” phase with 3 workouts per week & working out became something I looked forward to every week. She encouraged me to expand into incorporating fitness into my overall life in a healthy way - under her training I signed up for my first half marathon and attended several amazing fitness retreats! Fitness aside she’s also a great person so all those hours of training flew by while we chatted about everything & became quite close. I can say without reservation that investing in Katie’s services for personal training and weight loss was one of the best decisions I ever made. I came across her while searching for a personal trainer. After reading about Katie and meeting with her in person, I quickly realized she had a passion not only for wanting to help people with their fitness goals, but also for providing them with the tools necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle even after she was no longer working with them. Katie is one of the most knowledgeable trainers I have ever worked with when it comes to the whole package. She is very versatile in her approach on being stronger - physically and mentally. I have lost over 30lbs and in the best shape of my life due to her program. With todays yo-yo diets and influencers, it can become overwhelming in the trainer world on who to follow for advice. I've been working with Katie for over a year now. From the very beginning, she has always been extremely invested in my overall health. I was diagnosed with breast cancer about 9 months before I began working with Katie. She helped me recover from treatment and regain strength and flexibility following surgery. Words cannot describe the impact Katie has made on my life, but I will attempt. Katie is not *just* a personal trainer, she's a column of support in creating healthy, sustainable, and lifetime habits.

During training, you will work your body and your mind in a very joyful way. Katie shows genuine interest in getting to know you alongside knowing your body, which for someone who has struggled with others having so much say on my body, it is refreshing. She so deeply understands that your mental and emotional state affects how you work your body, perceive your body, and engage in the world. She enforces a safe space to speak openly about your struggles in all aspects of creating healthy habits, and she gently guides you the scientifically proven ways. There is no rush, there is no pressure, simply a focus on excellence and diligence.

When I told Katie that I felt my heavy body was unhealthy, she sent me articles with studies that show movement, not weight, is the largest factor to health. When I told Katie I struggled with binging and hiding food, she said to research depravity mentality. When I told her I don't want to walk, she said just walk up the driveway and back. When I told her when I went on the treadmill I could not stop staring at the calorie counter and it was stressful, she said to walk outside or cover the calories with a towel AND she went into how calorie counters on highly inaccurate on machines. When I told her I gained 10 lbs, she said the body fluctuates up to 7-10lb a day in weight due to water weight.

When I told her I could feel my gains and was feeling my body whenever I was walking and it felt amazing, she smiled so wide and said "this is why we work towards this"

As someone who has struggled with weight fluctuations, self-flagellation, body shaming, and keeping a routine, Katie has been pivotal in battling that mountain for me.

If you decide to work with Katie, bring your authentic self, be open about your struggles, be diligent and she will do the same to you. Katie is a wonderful person outside of being a trainer, but she is also a brilliant trainer.

What a love letter. You know how I enjoy our sessions. You have come such a long way both in your journey with ED and body dysmorphia, but after your lung surgery. You’ve been so courageous in facing the challenges with a body that has thrown you some curve balls. I think that like me, you’ll look back at your younger years and say that you’re happier to have suffered so in the beginning because that’s what levels you up of you have intent. Katie is a fantastic trainer with a great sense of humor. Every session is filled with laughter and positivity. Please don’t mistake this by thinking you are at a comedy club, Katie knows how to empower you to achieve your toughest goals with positive encouragement.

Katie is extremely professional and will definitely help you reach your fitness goals. She has degree in Kinesiology and is certified by the ACSM. Under her guidance, whether it be virtual or in-person, I was in the best shape I had ever been in. I am blessed to have been trained by Katie!

I have been working with Katie in person and remote since 2017. Working with her I’ve transformed my fitness, understood my nutrition in brand new ways, and achieved goals I didn’t even know I would have. Fitness is about a mindset and pushing oneself but it’s also about intrinsic motivations. Katie has helped me set those motivations, goals and keep pushing.
