Yes this is a MLM company and the wine tasting events are wine buying events. Â This party plan is not anything new. Â I personally love the wines that TV has and am an active member of their REWINED subscription service. Â A few things that I have seen in the reviews that I would love to help clarify.1) Shipping of wine has NEVER been free. Â It has been discounted if your order is grouped into the Host's delivery, but NEVER has it ever been free. Â I only pay about $6 for shipping with my subscription, but a party shipment is about $10 to the host and a bit more to have it direct shipped to the customer at their home. Â It is pretty much a flat rate unless you are ordering a TON of wine.2) As far as individual consultants, it would be better to notify the company of any individuals that did not meet your expectations. Â One person doesn't necessarily represent the entire company. Â If you feel the need to post here, you should also email the company directly. Â How else would they work on fixing the issue?3) The wines are actually really good. Â Most wines in the same price point at the stores are hit or miss. Â I have dumped entire bottles down the drain because they went bad, or were just bad wine to start. Â I must say that all the wines I have had from TV have been great. Â Even if they weren't my personal favorite varietal, I think they are great wines. Â There was only one time I had a bad bottle and the company was the one to notify me of it. Â I didn't even have to experience tasting it.4) If you are going to a wine tasting event, with other adults who wanted to get out of the house, then why would you bring an infant? Â If I found a sitter and the time to attend a sales party that a friend was hosting, the last thing I would want to do is bring my children. Â Not because I don't like being around them (I love being around them), however other guests may not be happy. Â Gatherings also could spread a ton of germs. Â I know for a fact that the host was likely given instructions to pass along to all guests that absolutely nobody under 21 should be in the room. Â It is a legal liability when alcohol is being served. Â I know this is all a silly opinion of mine, but I just want to say that the wines are good, the consultants are wonderful, customer service is top notch, and the whole vibe I get is a great one... but maybe that's the fissata talking right about now :) More...

I have been working at Traveling Vineyard part-time, since November 2016. Â I love that I have the flexibility to create my own schedule. Â If you work throughout the month - there are 3 pay periods (10th, 15th and 25th). The compensation is fair and there is no inventory to keep. Traveling Vineyard is extremely supportive and empowering!! Â the wine is exceptional and at an even better price. Management is very innovative and always trying to keep ahead of the curve in this business. The only complaint (and it isn't mine), is that the shipping cost for a single/two bottles is a turn off to most customers (even though the value is in the bulk buy). Some just don't want that much wine.My advice to Management - Keep up the great work!! I love that you value the opinion of those who are "in the trenches". It makes us feel appreciated!! More...

Traveling Vineyard is the Best way to experience the world of Wine Tasting! I enjoy everything about this company, like getting to travel and meet new people at my events. I'm a wine guide with Traveling Vineyard. I decided that this was likely the greatest side gig ever, as long as the wine was good (I have standards! ) Fortunately, the wine is amazing, winning many awards in the world wine championships. It's a whole lot of fun to be an independent wine guide holding free tastings in people's homes. It's an honest to goodness opportunity to own a fun business with no corporate shenanigans. And finally, let me just say this: Peekaboo Chardonnay and hot buttered popcorn. Trust me on this one. More...

Prior to joining the company I went to a wine tasting event - It was informative and fun. Â Since then, I have held hundreds of wine tastings and enjoyed all of them. Â With the support of our fabulous team at WHQ, and fellow wine guides, it is hard not to have fun and succeed. We are all about helping others understand wine and food in a relaxed in-home experience. More...

I have been to three wine tastings with Traveling Vineyard, one of which I was the host. The rep that lead the tastings (same rep for all three) was sweet, knowledgeable and not pushy in any way. All of my friends had a great time and purchased lots of wine. I love this idea of trying before buying. Its a great reason to get the girls together! I mean, we all drink wine already so why not have a fun event where you can make the wine purchases you would anyhow. I am also impressed with the quality of many of their wines. I haven't tried them all but my favorites are Luxx and Stateroom. I would and have recommended this company to others and its disappointing to see the negative reviews. I believe that its not the company, but the wine guide leading the tasting, that can make or break it. I was lucky enough to have a wonderful wine guide, Lauren, out of Maine. Her laid back personality was a perfect fit for my group of friends. More...

My wife has been a consultant for The Traveling Vineyard for about 18 months. Â The support she receives from corporate HQ and her up-lines is amazing. Â The wines taste great, and are reasonably priced. She has made many great friends through her business and the extra money doesn't hurt either. If you are looking to get into direct sales, this is one of the better companies to be involved with.
