What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about tutoring English is the opportunity it provides for meaningful connections across different cultures and backgrounds. Each session is not just about grammar or vocabulary; it's a chance to understand someone's world a little better. What inspired you to start your own business?
The inspiration to start my own business, “English Lessons by Melissa,” stemmed from my passion for language and education, combined with my desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. As a single mother and a professional in the legal field, I recognized the profound impact that effective communication has in various aspects of life. This realization motivated me to use my skills and experience to help others. I saw a need for personalized, one-on-one English tutoring that focused not just on language proficiency, but on empowering individuals to express themselves confidently and navigate different cultural contexts. My journey as a mentor and a legal professional, coupled with my personal experiences, fueled my commitment to this venture, aiming to provide a supportive, enriching, and transformative learning experience.
