1. Meet with client to review scope, budget, and schedule of project.
2. Reconcile client's expectations with industry qualifications, such as range of product quality and price points and schedule.
3. Produce floor plans and possibly elevations and/or 3-dimensional views of several design options.
4. Review product options online and/or at local showrooms.
5. Request price quotes from product vendors for fixtures, furnishings, and equipment.
6. If needed, produce plans for a building permit and construction.
7. Obtain cost estimates/bids for construction.

I started my own business to put my stamp (so to speak) on the design and development of projects I would be involved with.
