Lamar was extremely communicative, professional, and fun to work with! He has a great vibe, and is really good at reading the crowd. For my walk down the aisle song, he made a mix that incorporated the part of the song I wanted and transitioned it smoothly into instrumental. He also uses an app that allows you to select songs, make playlists, add notes, and invited guests to make song requests. Although, we did not use that feature much, we instead used spotify. Lamar was the consummate professional starting from day 1. He had a plan and vision and very clearly articulated what he could and could not do in our initial consult.
He did not try to upsell and gave us very honest feedback on what he thought we needed for our venue. We had interviewed many DJs before Lamar but were blown away by his knowledge and experience.
We had a very specific type of music we wanted at our wedding and Lamar far exceeded expectations. He mixed things up with the genres we asked for and went above and beyond to include music out of his comfort zone (was a Korean wedding) in his mix. We heard from multiple attendees how impressed they were.
Lamar made everything a breeze and he worked closely with our planner to make sure our special day went perfect. I had multiple friends ask for Lamar's contact for future use.

Lemar was truly fantastic! We were lucky to find him. Never having ever hired a DJ before, he set the bar sky high with his professionalism and communication. Lamar was an amazing DJ. We hired him for my father's 80th birthday, and his DJ equipment, skills, and playlist exceeded my expectations. He arrived a few hours early to give himself plenty of time for set-up. He had great speakers, a podium, and microphone, all of which added to his professionalism. He was flexible, accommodated guests who wanted to sing, knew how to read the room (it's hard to get 80 year old people to dance for a long time!).
