My 2 year old golden retriever, Cleo, recently completed the hybrid program. Before the program, she was unfocused and her behavior was difficult to control (and tolerate). Adrienne and Tegan immediately recognized that she needed more structure and to be held accountable for her behavior. That also meant that Cleo’s people needed to be educated as well, which was probably the larger challenge! We were encouraged to expect A+ behavior from her and she surprised us by giving it to us. There’s no other trainer in Texas that you should take your dogs to. It’s as simple as that. These ladies are as knowledgeable as it gets. They are incredible with the dogs but they are also incredible with teaching dog parents like me. Ultimately the success of the program is up to us the parents but the foundation they establish is priceless. Dog 4 Life does incredible work! My 5 year old corgi Paddy became pretty possessive of me when we brought our newborn baby home. It was not going well to the extent that I thought I was going to have to rehome Paddy which was devastating. But Adrienne and Tegan and her team taught him obedience and showed us what to do, and now Paddy is back safely being part of our family. Adrienne in particular was so generous with her time - she talked to me almost every day after Paddy got home to make sure his reintegration was going well. We heard about Dog 4 Life Training from a friend. Erin gave them glowing reviews. She was right! We took our 9 month and 6 month old puppies for Adrienne and her team to work their magic. The facility was impressive with the data they collect on the dogs. The team sent training videos and pictures of the puppies at the facility and outings. They also texted and called with updates. My neighbor rescued two female dogs that had 15 puppies. One litter was Pyrenees, Komondor, Anatolian mix and we adopted two males - Tucker and Teddy. After a few days, I really thought we were going to have to return Teddy back to my neighbor, which broke my heart. He was so loving and loyal, but did not listen to one word I said no matter what positive reinforcement I gave him. He definitely had the independent Pyrenees mind! He was also insecure about many things - vacuum, men, cows, cats, etc. My friend told me about Adrienne and her training facility and I purchased 4 lessons for Teddy as my last hope before I returned him to my neighbor. In just 4 lessons, Teddy is a different dog! At 4.5 months old, he walks on a loose leash; obeys the commands sit and down, comes to me when called "Teddy, here!" (he takes his time, but is doing really well for a puppy); sits at the door until I say "In" or "Out"; understands "Place" or "On" (stays on mat most of the time, still working on it). Teddy is now more confident and not scared of things. On our walk, we walked right next to the cows in the field and Teddy walked by as if the cows were invisible. Adrienne did a wonderful job working with our two golden retriever puppies. Before training they were incredibly impulsive and demanding dogs that made watching after them a full time job! After a month of board and train at Dog 4 Life they came back much calmer and more respectful. Adrienne helped to train our family as well as our pups and equipped us with obedience tools that we can use at home to mitigate any undesirable puppy behaviors. She also provided us with a very realistic maintenance plan to make sure they keep up the good behavior. I've worked with Adrienne since I first adopted my pup. At first we did one-on-one lessons and Adrienne provided me with a foundation of knowledge to work with my dog on my own and have a great dog. I also sent my pup here for two to work on strengthening some of her obedience training. She came back having accomplished all of the goals we set out for her. She's doing so well back at home. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We no longer offer house calls. All training and client meetings take place on our acreage. We have tons of space for safe distancing, and are very diligent in our cleaning practices.
Board and Train
The fastest results! In a few short weeks, your dog will learn all obedience, be able to be good in public, do doggy socialization, and resolve problem behaviors! Includes training gear and two private lessons so you get the coaching you need!
Private Lessons
One on one coaching for you and your dog! You will learn how to teach your dog obedience, resolve issues at home, and more. Make sure you have time for the homework!
