DJ Ron Riis has been a mobile DJ/Karaoke host for the past 40 years, beginning his career on the north side of Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Florida and have done numerous parties: weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, high school proms, homecomings, private residence parties, senior citizen center events, and snowbird parties. For the past 11 years he has been the DJing and hosting Karaoke at the Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers. Beach, Florida. He started his Disc Jockey career on the north side of Chicago with a company called DanceTraxx where he would play at weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, trade shows, and corporate events all along the Magnificent Mile and beyond. He started Scandalous Sounds and Illumination, a full-service DJ and lighting company, and moved to Fort Myers, Florida to live in paradise. "DJ Ron" is well known throughout Southwest Florida. He is a former college professor of English and currently you can see him nights and weekends at weddings, parties, high school homecomings or proms, senior citizen events and at any event that needs a DJ/MC to entertain crowds both small and large. He is the official "Golden Apple" DJ for the Foundation of Lee County Schools and he DJ's every weekend at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina on Fort Myers Beach. He is also hosting Karaoke Events at the Pink Shell. In addition to creating a party atmosphere by the beach, he has developed an incredible nature trivia contest and Don't Forget the Lyrics Contest for the patrons at the resort with Ranger Rob Howell. He has also donated his time and talents at the local American Cancer Society's Relay for Life as well as the 5K Strides for Education Scholarship Program for the Foundation for Lee County Schools.
