We highly recommend DJ Peace Piano (aka Phillip) for your event!! We had a birthday bash in our backyard, with the theme "Yacht Rock" (soft, easygoing hits of the 1970's). Phillip was a delight to work with.... in the planning phase, he showed an interest in our playlist and our goals for the party, even suggesting a FaceTime walk-through of the property so that he could recommend the best location for his setup and space for a dance area. He continued to check in during the preparation phase, and asked for an agenda to help with announcements and providing microphones for guests to make toasts and the occasional singalong. On the day of the event, he arrived with ample time to setup, and started the tunes early, to the pleasure of our family during our own setup. His sound system was high quality, and he even provided disco lights for the dance area! He knew exactly what tunes to play that would entice our guests to get over their hesitation to dance, and his tunes led to a packed dance floor. We had such a positive experience hiring DJ Peace Piano from beginning to end. We were able discuss a schedule of dinner and dance music beforehand. He was able to make some suggestions for ideas I would never have thought of. He was receptive to our music request of funk and 80s while adding his expertise in reading the crowd and playing the music that would appeal to the young folks and Latin dancers. As co-Chair for our 60 Year H.S. Reunion we couldn't be more pleased with Phil's contribution. His reasonable fee was eclipsed by his performance, knowledge of and access to everything we wanted to hear. Together we developed a playlist, then he fulfilled real-time requests in a heartbeat. The Dance Contest with 7 dances had the perfect tunes for each dance. Phil's overall professionalism took away all our stress re: this portion of the Reunion. Quick set-up, take-down, dance floor lighting, and more. And he worked very well together with me, the experienced emcee. He would be an asset for an inexperienced MC. I was pretty nervous about hiring a DJ. It was my first time going online to hire someone and this was for my 70th Birthday Celebration. We needed a DJ for a Christmas party within 2 weeks. I was stressed about not finding someone for the event during a busy holiday season. DJ PEACE (Phil Williams) came to the rescue!
We agreed on the price. He came early to setup his equipment and with the music I requested from his impressive collection. We loved him and all our friends said he was phenomenal. He definitely knew how to please the crowd. Music was just the right tempo during dinner and everyone could carry on a conversation without shouting across the table. I had also asked Phil to make a few announcements and he printed out the email I sent him which I was totally impressed. The party was so much fun and a huge success.
