We had our wedding in April 2024 and found DJ Hooded Wolf on bark.com. After having a phone conversation where he asked questions about our wedding, size, venue, music tastes, we liked his energy and decided to hire him. One of the best decisions of the wedding planning! We were not disappointed. Jake (his real name) spent as much time as I needed before the wedding planning the ceremony/reception timeline and getting to know our “music DNA”. We had multiple phone calls and even met once in person before the wedding. I think this is what I appreciated most about Jake, the time he spent before hand getting to know us. For our ceremony we had both a vocalist and Jake. Jake collaborated with the vocalist to provide us with a seamless ceremony. He even helped us secure a keyboard for the ceremony. And as for the reception, my only complaint was I wasted $50 on his dinner entree because he never stopped playing music to eat! He had our guests on the floor the entire night. He read the room well, and adapted the music to what people were liking and dancing to. Jake was a pleasure to work with, very professional, accommodating, and stress-free. THE BEST!!! DJ Hooded Wolf (Jake) will get all your guests on the dance floor and everyone will have an incredible time. We loved working with Jake since we first reached out. DJ HW was a true professional. He maintained communication with us from the first introduction to the end of the event. We had a conversation with him about our expectations, and he was able to accommodate.
He requested to come early to set up and sound check the area. We were impressed with his enthusiasm to make our event perfect. He arrived at the event at the agreed upon time.
He set up his equipment and checked everything to be sure it was perfect. The Hooded Wolf was able to accommodate our guests off the wall musical request. We highly recommend DJ Hooded Wolf. From the beginning to the end Jake communication was on point, his clarity was understanding and respectful. From the moment he started spinning tunes, it was clear that he is experienced and knew how to read the crowd. 2 Things:
1) The ability to read the crowd and see what kind of music they are and aren't enjoying
2) A wide knowledge of different genres of music from different eras to give the crowd the music they want to dance to
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I'm an open format DJ, which means I feel comfortable playing in just about any room for just about any crowd. I'm inspired by DJ's such as Jazzy Jeff, Nick Bike, Trayze, and Nick Spinelli. My favorite genres to mix are pop, hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul. However, I also enjoy mixing songs from other genres to meet my clients needs.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to provide the soundtrack for people's favorite memories.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I started DJ'ing as a hobby, enough guests and clients at my events told me I needed to start my own business so they could hire me too.
Why should our clients choose you?
I pride myself on giving every client an experience that is professional, personal, and premium. I book only the amount of clients I feel I can give my full effort and attention too. As a result, I'm able to curate a personalized collection of music for each client's event, ensuring that the soundscape of their event is uniquely theirs.

Sure. If needed, a livestream could be set up to stream a DJ set. However, the quality of the audio would be dependent on the sound system and internet connection quality at the venue streaming the set.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I'm fully vaccinated and boosted and am happy to wear a mask upon request.
