I have been doing events for over 20 years and I have never seen a DJ so knowledgeable, dedicated, personable and amazing! He is compassionate about what he does. His equipment is absolutely incredibly impressive.

DJ Bones was wonderful to work with! I was the choreographer for his Goddaughter's quinceanera. Not only did he and his wife drive to Tucson, AZ for the event, he was also in constant communication about song requests for special dances, mixed music for a surprise dance, and willing to do whatever it took to help make her day special! At the event, he played soft music hits during the dinner, was on point with directing the ceremonies for the Quinceanera (doll dance, mother-daughter dance, changing of the shoe, and then the father-daughter dance) perfect timing with the songs for the waltz and surprise dance, kept the crowd entertained with games for the court of honor and guests to play , and of course more great music for the guests to dance to all night long. DJ Bones recently worked a 18th birthday - high graduation - associates degree graduation party for my grandson. There were family and friends in attendance from 5 to 85 years old.

Everyone said they had the best time and loved the DJ. He played favorites from a recommended playlist but also took requests with ease and added a couple of his own choices.

DJ Bones really interacted with the crowd and got them up and dancing. He served as emcee as well and actually spent some time on the dance floor with us. We had four contests for cash prizes as well.

He also provided a custom monogram that was a rotating wall display that ran all night. He asked a few questions. I provided a few pics. He then created a custom slideshow that people were talking about all night.

I met Jimi when he was DJ-ing at the Steeples City Club and I’m so glad I hired him. He made things easy for me and I will definitely hire him again. Thanks DJ Bones! More...

I am responding to a review I left and a comment Jimi left underneath the review where he bold face lies. I am going to attach a link to a Google document of receipts I have to prove Jimi is lying about how he has handled this whole situation. If you scroll down and find my original review you will see how Jimi failed at his job for our once in a lifetime event and then refuses to take responsibility for it. I just want to be clear that I could have given him 1 star and I had every right to be a "bridezilla" as he called me, but I was very patient and even stated that my guests still enjoyed themselves it was mistakes that were a big deal to us as the bride and groom, and I don't know, but as a wedding DJ I would try and prioritize the Bride and Groom but maybe that's just me. In my receipts you will see that I NEVER sent just an album cover to my aisle walk song, I sent the actual youtube link and mentioned it was on Apple and Spotify. What DJ doesn't have access to at least one of those? You will also see a email from Jimi where he confirms he received my slideshow more than 30 days prior to my wedding, not 2 like he lied about in his comment. I also never expected or wanted him to make it, I was simply stating after the extra time and money I spent on the slideshow he failed on his end of the deal. We absolutely wanted to be mic'd up for our ceremony in fact it was part of the contract and money we spent on the DJ. When Jimi approached my husband to tell him the microphones were dead right before our ceremony he didn't freak out about it because Jimi's wife/assistant was already CRYING about it and my husband is just too nice of a guy to make a situation like that worse. Lastly, there is an email where Jimi admits to his unprofessionalism and mistakes but still misses the point of taking responsibility for letting us down on our once in a lifetime event. We made a whole playlist and gave it to him a month in advance so that we didn't have to spend our wedding night requesting music. We had so much going on like photos and entertaining our guests. It wasn't until towards the end it really hit us that not a single song we wanted was played on top of the mistakes made at the ceremony. It was the DJ's job, not mine to be at the booth correcting him all night. It is really funny that he want's to call me a "Bridezilla" yet he didn't even mention HE mixed up our playlists with a whole other wedding, but don't worry it's all in the email in my link. I wanted to say that I left my honest review just so people know that he is probably good at his job but this was just a bad day and it might be what you get. I believe he thought I would never see his comment trying to discredit my review, which brings me to believe he is NOT a "professional" that anyone would want to hire and he shouldn't be involved in big events like this because he obviously can not handle it.

DJ Bones makes our family 4th of July party unforgettable! This guy is the real deal with all the professional equipment and excellent personality.

I've hire DJ Bones on several times for parties. He hosted a disco party 70s & 80s and nailed it. His professionalism, punctual, and quality of sound was perfect for any occasions.

My husband and I found Dj Bones, Jimi, very early in our planning process and when we reached out to, we really enjoyed our phone call with him. He seemed to have good energy and listened to all our wants and needs. We continued to talk with him through the whole planning process and really thought we were all on the same page and Jimi was a great match.
Two days before the wedding he called us and we finalized all of our requests. We were also then informed that there was an issue with our slideshow. I had to make this slideshow myself, which was fine but it took time and work on top of everything else, and I was told by Jimi he had been at our venue a few times and how he would be able to project a show for us for $200 extra dollars. Two days before he told us he didn't realize he couldn't fit his screen in our venue and instead of a projector screen or even a large TV. The slideshow was played on a small screen/maybe a 26 inch TV, he just lifted up real high in the air. It was the last of my worries at this point in the process but if I would have known I would never have paid $200 for a tacky set-up.
Come the day of the wedding, we were completely blindsided by what we got. It started when Jimi injured himself during set-up, we all were very concerned for him but right off we could tell it put him in a bad mood.
Then at the ceremony Jimi and his wife, who works as his partner, did not mic up my husband, the microphone was dead. The ceremony was supposed to be recorded, it was even included in the price for everything. Then to deal with the situation they went to my husband in the middle of all the chaos of pictures, the ceremony and nerves to tell him about it. Instead of going to anyone else, like a parent or the planner. They got very emotional and panicked and it caused more nerves and stress on my husband.
Probably the worst mistake for me was my aisle walk song. Like the most important song next to the first dance, if not the most important song, was WRONG. I specifically had a conversation weeks before the wedding with Jimi to make sure he found the exact song I requested. We went back in forth through text about it, and he still played the complete wrong song. I think it was the same artist but I had never heard the song in my life and it was a heartbreaking disappointment to be honest.
Moving on to the reception, it was a total fail from our point of view. The guests enjoyed themselves and danced but Jimi did not play more than MAYBE one song from our Bride & Groom requests list (which we spent hours and days on to make perfect) Jimi said he would play them and use that as a base for the rest. He would eventually take requests from guests but even he said if it didn't go along with our style he wouldn't even play it. We talked about our style and he acted like he understood and we even said no line dances. I almost wondered if he lost our information or mixed it up because it was the complete opposite. He played every line dance you think of, some of them twice and he played all country music when we asked for Latin and club music.

Before I left this review I wanted to give Jimi a chance so I brought my concerns to his attention. When I pictured my wedding the most important things to me was my family, and open bar and good music. Music and dancing is a big deal to me and my family. I wanted to give Jimi the chance to understand this disappointment and explain what happened. When I presented his mistakes to him, he took it very lightly and offered me way less than what it all equates to and also really tried to guilt me into pitying him in this situation. I never like to leave bad reviews or barely speak up for myself but in this case I felt like it was necessary. When I explained the depth the issues had to me, he completely ghosted me. It's been almost 3 full weeks now and he has not gotten back to me. For us, it is not about the money it was about how much we put into this and it was "our big day" and he had his one role, a very important one and this is what he does, and he really failed us. I don't want someone else to be distracted by his big personality and expect to get what they want from him, or for him to not take the responsibility when he does make a mistake. I would stick to the list of vendors your venue or planner give to you. All the vendors that they recommended worked hard for us and were lovely guests to have at our wedding! More...

After repeated requests for a link to the (obscure) Aisle Walk, I was sent a screenshot of the album cover. Subsequently, I downloaded the wrong version of the song requested. The Slideshow ability was requested by the bride (I'm not sure how I'm supposed to make the slideshow though??? I don't have pictures of them?? ). I asked for everything 30 days prior, I got the slideshow 2 days before the wedding. The projector I usually use, was nullifed by the color of the walls (dark mahogany) & room capacity by guests so instead I brought a 42 inch TV and ran the slideshow through dinner service/reception (as requested). I wasn't in a bad mood, a brace bar hit my nose & broke the skin and I had to spend 30 minutes trying to stop the bleeding. The Groom didn't want to be miced up & recorded and was relieved when I told him about the batteries being dead. I offered a hand held but he refused. Everyone enjoyed themselves during the reception & I took requests by the guests throughout the evening. The bride (oddly enough) never asked for any specific song(s) during the evening???
