David is not only an incredible magician , he is an absolute GEM of a human being. We hired David to perform up close social magic for our wedding reception and he left an incredible impact on all of the guests, which there were over 200. He also noticed I was a bit (very) nervous before our grand entrance into the ballroom and spent some time with me to calm my nerves. Which was very much appreciated. Before the wedding, we thought it would just be a fun simple addition to have a magician at the reception but David ended up being one of the finest parts of the event. David was absolutely amazing. I booked him for a small coaches' dinner for a youth soccer club that I help run. The coaches were delighted, awed and enlivened by his performance. Saw him perform at a holiday company party, just at a small table. Mostly card tricks, yay! Once we found where he was performing, did not leave for the rest of the night. Think we stood there for over 30 min. As a result, got to see and was involved in a special card trick! A few repeat tricks of course, but each time was as amazing and fun as the first, with small differences, enough to avoid being rote. David was a fabulous addition to our reception. We had him for an hour during cocktail hour doing close up magic (which I highly recommend doing) and a 30 minute stand up show for everyone to enjoy together. Some of his tricks are still being talked about... When the professional photos came back we saw everyone in pure bliss and awe. That's when my husband and I realized that the Margaritas and David Martinez got to our guests. They were all infected with magic and people of all ages from 4 year olds to 80+yo seniors were really enjoying themselves. We had so many comments on how great of an idea it was to have magic.
